Ok let’s keep this simple. Was Brian in Florida on Tuesday? Police could easily view cameras of neighbor houses, route to hiking location route, or stores. Parents activities would also be able to be accessed via cameras with the car. Did they drive him to the hiking spot there and come back? Seems to easy to verify the story based on when the car left their driveway and returned.

This. He must have battered her psyche so badly she was apologizing for being a lot, for being OCD, for being mean, and basically for just existing. No. Just no.

What if by the aug 12th interaction with cops he already had her under abduction? That could account for their behavior and her desperation but vocal affirmation of him. What if she was being kidnapped? By him? Weird, I know. No reason for the cops to have been psychic, so no reason for them to see anything but the lovers quarrel they both claim. She wants to survive and is too shocked to talk.

I still am not sure if he ever went back to Florida. He easily could have bribed someone to drive the van back. He may have hightailed it and hitchhiked to anywhere by now.

I suspect this info came from Gabby's parents, that's likely what she told them, why she was staying in a hotel.

Flights could be very easily confirmed by LE.

Someone posted in the previous thread that has anyone outside of family seen BL in person at his parents home or elsewhere in FL ?
I keep thinking he returned on 9/1 with the van.
The van was towed for evidence, so we know the van was driven back.
Anything other than that I'm unclear on !

IF BL wanted to die, he would have already been dead. He has some plans because he loves life but with passing days/months/years he will be bored and can't go on forever and he has to return to civilization

Similarly, was the van spotted driving at all along the route from Wyoming to Florida between the 29th and the 1st? Surely there are traffic cameras, toll cameras/booths, rest stops, etc.

Ha, nice thought, but don't be hoodwinked. I think those videos were staged ones, filmed just for their website. They wanted to show the world what a fabulous time they were having!
Of course they did. They wanted to be professional vanlifer influencers.

Behind the scenes, I think it was radically different. I'm certain their trip was fraught with different opinions, mental strife, money worries and unstable behaviour, living in a confined space in uncomfortable heat with limited access to showers and healthcare.

That's real vanlife, but no-one will want to show that side of it!

While I agree it is not the right thing to do, I'm sure they are scared spitless. But they must do the honorable and right thing before they find themselves is some very deep trouble. Let us hope their attorney can convince them to do the right thing.

Amateur opinion and speculation
 
Let us all remember that BL has still not been charged with anything, which in turn would make obtaining a warrant for many of the searches being asked or questioned, impossible.
The LE are able to seek BL only on the fact that he's a missing person now, which still limits certain searches.
 
So I went out this evening to a minor league baseball game in Brooklyn, NY. There was a young couple near me. Cute blonde girl and boyfriend with a beard, balding on top. I KNEW it wasn't GP and BL, they didn't look like them, and I certainly don't expect them to turn up in Coney Island, Brooklyn NY. But I couldn't stop staring and thinking, "is this them? Are they both alive and together holding hands in Coney Island? Should I call the police?" I stared at them until they started giving me dirty looks for staring.

This case is eating my heart and erasing my brain.

When I got home I got right on WS, hoping for some news, maybe a resolution. Nope, both still missing in their different ways. Oh, and two threads longer. For the first time I had to skip a thread. My apologies to those who said something brilliant in Thread 11.
