When I was looking at the pictures of his bedroom, I really didn't see anything that would have been influenced by a girl. If she had lived there for any length of time, I would have expected to see more girly things around the room. I find that kind of odd. Anybody else?

If the picture of BL's bedroom that you're referring to is the same one featured earlier today in the Daily Mail then this is an image of his bedroom from 4 years ago.

The photos were taken when the Laundrie's house was up for sale in 2017. BL would've been about 19 at the time.

To me it just seems like a typical teenage boy's bedroom, but this explains why you're seeing no evidence of Gabby living there - it's from 4 years ago.

Pictures of Laundrie's bedroom show what appears to be a gun hanging from a bookcase, as well as a … https://mol.im/a/10015151#i-261451ce41dedcc9 via http://dailym.ai/android

Does anyone else not think it is strange that his parents or attorney are not pleading for him to come out of hiding if he is actually in the area, As a parent of a son , I would be begging my child to come out of hiding before it gets any worse especially with the alligators, etc. <modsnip>

I have to remind myself that these parents were likely thrown into an unimaginable circumstance. What we would do is hard to say until we have been faced with the same.

From a "normal" life perspective, I would ask the same question you have.

This is not "normal" life for them.

I am not defending any of their actions but I am not condemning them either.

Who knows what he told his parents? They needed space/split up/she found someone else/gave him the van to get back, etc, etc. It had happened before (on/off again relationship) so no reason to report GP missing initially.

Can someone please confirm 1) the date that GP's parents first tried to contact the Laundrie family and 2) when GP's parents approached LE to say she was missing? The time lag is really bothering me

(As is the relationship between the two sets of parents, and why GP was living with BL and his parents and not her own)

If you go to the first page of each new thread, there are a few posts from the moderators. In the 2nd post on that first page, there is a timeline of events. I have copied part of it to show when Gabby's family tried to contact BL's family and when they reported her missing:

AUG 30: Text from Gabby to Mom - No service in Yosemite
August 31: A new list titled “Self-Consumption” appeared on the couple’s Spotify
SEP 1: BL returns home to FL alone according to his parents, (retains an attorney we don’t know when) & is uncooperative with the investigation
Sept 2 -9: ?
SEP 10:: Gabby’s mother texted BL and his mother, RL, trying to get in touch with Gabby, but neither replied. The family alerted the National Park Service.

Sept 10- Gabbys Dad contacts LE?

SEP 11: Gabby’s family report her missing 7 PM
Sep 11: Van seized at the home of BL parents in NorthPort FL - FBI

I’m watching Fox News LIVE (television). They’re talking with neighbors about BL and his father working on the new camper (still parked at the home). They’re claiming the parents and BL were seen stocking up the camper and were all gone for a weekend. Unsure of the exact date.

I can’t link to it, maybe someone else will have a link to this information.

Why wait 3 days to report your son missing?....

1. He's not missing, he's running, and they know it.
2. He's been gone for days at a time on previous hiking excursions, so this wasn't unusual until Friday. (Curious to know if there is a history of this)
3. He went "hiking" and didn't come back, they suspect he's running, and want to give him a head start.

Am I missing a scenario?

I'm trying to wrap my head around why they wouldn't be concerned about him missing in this environment until 3 days after he left.

Why pick up the car, but not notify police he was missing then? Why pick up the car at all? If you are trying to cover for him, why not leave it there? Why point LE to this location at all after taking the car, unless they believed by then he was long gone?

If they really went to the car because they were concerned about him and then saw the note left on it, why not report it then? It doesn't make sense unless running was either a plan they knew about OR strongly suspected.

Am I missing a scenario that doesn't point to his parents giving him time to run?
Has he ever stayed there overnight before? Why would anyone do that? That would be the first clue to a parent that something is wrong. Anyone else here a parent that would not be worried if their kid stayed in that reserve overnight with alligators and snakes? What about 2 night? 3 nights? When would you phone police?

The photo is probably from 2018 when the house was listed for sale, and to be fair it might not be his bedroom. If they were sharing that room together, I'm guessing it would look completely transformed. They seemed to really love design, crafting together and decorating with plants.

I thought the photos were taken by police and leaked to the press.
It’s all beyond strange - it’s like they know something we don’t

They want him to stay in hiding to see if the police will get a warrant. Just my two cents.

I am wondering if GP officially lived in another room. If not, it must have been miserable to stay in that room.

May have had GP stuff moved out when he traveled back.
"Honey I swear I was home all night and not sneaking around on someone's deer trail"

Like is said, wouldn't want to be a thin guy in Florida with a shaved head.

His parents had to have known about these conditions—why wait even one minute to report him missing when they ‘discovered’ the Mustang?

IMO the conditions are being grossly exaggerated by media. My partner keeps laughing at the drama - being former military and based in FL he said "FL swamps may be one of the easier places to survive".

BL also had that three day head start. IMO If BL is living off the land he moved out of that swamp area and to somewhere more sustainable long before LE even started looking for him.

Hello! I have to admit I have not been able to follow these threads! They are moving so fast. Kudos to all you sleuthers! If this has been stated, My apologies. I just cannot imagine a parent not appealing to their son to come home! Wouldn’t most parents be all over every form of media begging him to come home and not do anything crazy (not that he hasn’t already), that they love him no matter what? I am on the fence about where he is, did he go somewhere and harm himself or is <modsnip>. If they have, and I missed please accept my apologies for this goofy post! MOO!!!

Gabby Petito's Long Island community mourns 'Blue Point's girl' nypost.com/2021/09/22/gab… via @nypmetro #GabbyPetito

The death of Gabby Petito has thrust her hometown on Long Island into mourning — with the community placing blue ribbons around town and planning a special ceremony this week in her honor.

Petito, 22, who grew up in the quiet Suffolk County hamlet of Blue Point, was found dead in a remote Wyoming park Sunday after a cross-country trip with her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie.

“Long before she tragically became ‘America’s daughter,’ Gabby Petito was Blue Point’s girl,” the Greater Sayville community page said.

A billboard has gone up at Nicolls Road and Montauk Highway near the Petito family home.

“Gabby Petito, Forever in our hearts,” it reads.

Dozens of trees around the town have been adorned with teal blue ribbons in memory of Petito, who graduated from Bayport-Blue Point High School in 2017.

Every family with a missing child is going through unimaginable circumstances, yet pretty much all of them plead publicly for their child to come home or for the person responsible to bring them home. For instance, GP's family.

True. IMO the Gabby related “merch” popping up on online retailer sites like AMZN is the more distasteful matter of the moment.
I haven't seen this yet (thankfully) but would have to agree, that unless the funds were being contributed to a reward for location of BL - what is the purpose other than skeevy taking advantage?

Deleted. Someone is saying the police have announced the trail cam photo was determined not to be Brian. I'm not seeing any links to prove this, but I don't want to contribute to speculation until I know for sure.

i know one thing for a fact, ive been out in the florida swamps at this time of year, its beyond bad ......i would be happy happy to see a search dog after 7 day .......i dont think for one second he is still alive if he is in there, unless you have ever been in the florida heat and the humidity from all that water, he may have went in with the intent to hide but the swamp can overcome that intent and make you just want to survive!!
