Feds File 'Amended' Arrest Warrant for Brian Laundrie (lawandcrime.com)
[...]

The new arrest warrant corrects a minor yet critical error in the original warrant issued two days earlier. The little-noticed error caused confusion among close observers, however, since the original warrant accused Laundrie of committing a crime he ultimately was not accused of committing by a federal grand jury.

To be clear, a grand jury indicted Landrie on one single count for allegedly violating 18 U.S.C. § 1029(a)(2). That statute makes it a crime to use an “unauthorized access device” (e.g., a debit card) and to “obtain[] anything of value aggregating $1,000 or more.” More precisely, the indictment accuses Laundrie of using a Capitol One debit card and its requisite PIN to access more than $1,000 between the dates of Aug. 30 and Sept. 1. The indictment says the alleged debits occurred “in the District of Wyoming and elsewhere.”

[...]

If found, tried, and convicted, Laundrie faces a possible ten-year prison sentence and a fine of up to $250,000 in connection with his current single-count federal indictment in Wyoming.

A good defense attorney will show lots of proof he was allowed by Gabby and her family to use that card.
They both lived and traveled as a couple. They shared everything!

Some things that attract mosquitoes are high levels of emitted CO2, lactic acid and ammonia as part of body odor/vapor, and a higher body temperature. So someone with a lower temp, who emits less CO2, and who hasn't recently exercised will be bitten less. Even so, in a swamp with few live human bodies around, I'd expect BL to be a target if he's there. And often people who are rarely bitten when in a group (the others are bitten instead) are bitten when alone.
I've also heard that some people don't react to certain bug bites, so even if they get bitten they don't get an immunological response that causes it to swell and itch.

Sorry if this has been discussed, but is the hard drive that was taken as evidence definitely an external from the van? If so, that’s a strike against premeditated, right? I find it hard to believe there isn’t at least some raw footage on there that would capture moments of tension that he wouldn’t want others to see, so he’d dump it ASAP.
Within the vehicle technicians found a Western Digital External hard drive. It's described as a computer(s) external storage device. It's in the redacted search warrant. We've discussed it's most likely for GP's computer.
MOO

Ahh I see, I wasn't sure if some thought it maybe had a dodgy side to it. I don't think it does but then I don't use it very much myself so can't be completely certain.

I removed the post as although the page states 60% of users are women, when you sign up there are three options, not just male or female.
So it could well be fewer than 40% male users and I didn't want to mislead with stats.
Yes definitely not as easy to get that data as I thought.

60%
Women make up more than 60% of our global audience2

Thank you for that resource. I didn't think it was a dodgy resource at all, just wondered if it was typical for young men. According to the site you shared, I don't think users split 60/40 women/men, rather the 40% is showing that Genz men were up 40% from last year. Tho, to be fair, they cite their data, but make the data hard to dig into and find, lol! They certainly WANT more men. MOO! Still, thank you much, that was interesting!

I dont know how that male policeman was doing what he thought was right by talking to Brian about his toxic ex wife and laughing when he said that Gabby was crazy. He brought his own personal bias into it. He did not ask Brian about the slapping outside the cafe.

I think it was a dark fantasy he finally carried out. If you look at his drawings, books he read and his anger. They can point to a unstable, deranged person. Im not saying that everyone that reads dark literature is a type of sociopath. Some just dont know reality from fantasy.
Or maybe he’s just an artist? There are singers who sing songs about situations not relevant to them whatsoever. Much like actors who take roles opposite to who they are as individuals. Sometimes art is just art. /JMO

I am aware of all those factors (there are more too) but having been in the military (based in FL and traveled all over the world) he can still say he’s never been bitten. Alone or otherwise. So some people just don’t attract or react to them.

IMO the mosquitos, spiders and no see ums would be the biggest threat to most people in that situation, agreed. Was just wondering if he could be one of the lucky ones.

I would guess he represents all three. He may have even gotten a conflict waiver where all three agree there is no conflict and they want to be jointly represented. His engagement could cover "issues and any future investigations related to the disappearance of Miss Petito" and not be limited to the indictment.

Personally I would worry about a conflicts problem since I don't think the parents and BL have exactly the same legal interests but I think that's more of an attorney ethics problem then anything else.

I'm surprised the attorney would represent all three. My father is an atty and I know there have been times when even between a husband and wife he'll refuse to represent both. Two parents and a their adult child? This guy seems in way over his head. Seems like he's dancing on the edge of an ethical conduct issue.

In my opinion.
The parents will not be charged with anything.
It does not matter what they knew or didn't Know. They will never tell and they have a right to keep their mouth shut. I won't speculate on their character.
BL will be found, close to home, or somewhere he is familiar with. I don't think he will be camping out.
I believe it is unlikely, he will say anything once he is arrested. Ever!
I believe they will have plenty of evidence to connect him to the crime from the scene, the van, the electronics, and so fourth.
Most people go through life oblivious to there surroundings. Someone posted earlier about how easy it is to hide in plain site. I agree, but in this case, I believe there are enough people out there right not being hypervigilant that someone will spot him.
I believe there is a slim chance he will turn himself in, but a chance none the less.
As for his mental state. I won't speculate on rather or not he has some condition. Some people are just evil.
Rembering the Anthony’s! I don’t think they will bother with them.
I’m curious. Was Brian ever spotted at the place Gabby was found?
He just might say he wasn’t even with her when she died.

it sounds like they are giving search crews a bit of a break today and only keeping skeleton staff on to keep the search going

i mean there is only so many days in a row you can work these searchers in that type of area without burning them out

Not taking the weekend off. Will do a live from outside the house this afternoon -- and back at the memorial later tonight.

seems like Brian and JB etc only really work Monday - Friday and weekend stuff is " if they want to" almost.. kind of more casual i guess.. maybe they don't get paid for weekend work?

I dunno -- I think she may have hit him below the belt -- in words, not actions, of course -- and he went off on her. Maybe she turned around & walked off; maybe she slapped him; or insulted his manhood. If so, "nobody treats me like that," he thinks, and he goes at her in a rage fueled by adrenaline, and it's done.
Or maybe she just said they were done which can be a death sentence in a toxic relationship.

Question because I know nothing about Law- if BL's attorney knows where he is at, is he protected by the attorney client privilege cause to not have to disclose that information to LE if attorney had that conversation prior to his warrant?

I was also wondering this as I also have no clue about the law. If the Laundrie family attorney knows where BL is, is he legally obliged to disclose this to police?

If no, would this change if BL was then cited as being armed/dangerous/a threat to the public etc?

@Alethea I'm calling on your wisdom, please haha

MOO etc yada yada

If I was a skeeter, I would stay away from BL because I wouldn't want his DNA in my body and become an accomplice. Who would risk it. Those that are rebel associates against the modern world as he depicted in his art .

They must be completely exhausted having to search in those conditions. If I lived nearby I'd be popping down there with some home baking or ice cream for all those involved in the search.

Ha! Was just thinking of many Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood songs wherein they sing of slashing tires, killing husbands, burning boyfriends to death, etc. To my knowledge, neither has carried out anything heinous. Maybe we should warn Mike Fisher! LOL Art is art.

In my personal opinion (theory, not fact)- I think his parents are part of what created him. I get the vibes that he was their 'golden child' who could do no wrong. But the family also seems to resolve conflicts by going silent and putting up walls (we saw this in the video of the DV call, we saw this in how Brian/family are acting now....).
So in scenarios like that, we get a guy who is high in narcissism and low in emotional intelligence. His parents probably also expected him to be the future president or some other high-profile, highly-worshipped entity. Instead, he was a travel blogger on YouTube. And his girlfriend was educated (a nutritionist), seemed well-liked, and seemed to be branching off into her own projects. He was fine as long as she was dependent and looked up to him for protection. But branching out on her own? This was a threat to his status. He had to try to break her down to keep her beneath him (calling her website her 'little blog or whatever', for example). My guess is that his ego took a strong blow and he reacted with narcissistic rage. The family system still revolves around their little darling, so the family will fight tooth and nail to preserve their image of their golden child that is the source of their sense of power and pride.
It's easier for them to live in denial than to accept the harsh truth.

Again-- pure speculation on my account. Just the vibe I get.
I totally agree with all of your statement
