Not always. But of course you are quite correct a mistrial doesn't have to be the end for the prosecution. And it certainly doesn't mean "not guilty" in the sense of a verdict. It does mean "innocent until proven guilty" is still in force. And whatever swayed one juror potentially could sway another.

The OP and I both said an "incident". Nothing regarding him going to the home. There is a police report and it was the day before she was reported missing officially. Unless you have a non redacted copy of the police report, this is an MSM confirmation.

The Long Island funeral home that will host a public visitation memorial for Gabby Petito on Sunday released a touching video tribute featuring a montage of personal and family photos.

The body of the 22-year-old slain ‘van lifer,’ who was found in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming last Sunday, is scheduled to be cremated before Sunday’s service in Holbrook, a small hamlet in Suffolk County. Her funeral is scheduled for Monday.


Moloney’s Funeral Home posted the montage on its web site on Saturday. It shows young Gabby as a happy, smiling girl who enjoyed playing outdoors and spending time with her family and its pet dog.

I honestly don't think anyone in the USA, or in Au where I live can be drinking wild water for days and days and days, it just doesn't work like that.. there are consequences. Most rivers and creeks are polluted in some way, either by man or beast.

If he has a Lifestraw he'd be okay for water (though it would not taste at all good.) But there's no way he could have carried enough food with him in that backpack to last for weeks, along with the other gear he'd need to survive out there.

She was reported missing on the 11th. This was on the 10th and it does say a few things about it. I'm not trying to bicker but there was an incident, JP called police and the NEXT day she was reported missing.

It says he wasn’t there physically, so the incident was just that he reported his daughter missing.

I don't think it has been. There was an incident. My guess is that he was becoming more persistent and aggravated with their lack of response. This was her father not her step father.

Could LE/FBI have been able to dust the book for his prints to corroborate her story? Or is "dusting for fingerprints" not as easy as Hollywood makes it seem (I'm guessing that's the case)?

Yes, they could have dusted it for prints to corroborate her story. Depending on the book cover however, prints could have been difficult to obtain. Smooth surfaces work best. But the could have gotten a DNA swab off it too.

Not to derail this thread with JW. But he’s obviously triggered by these events. He’s brought up his own son in several interviews. I believe his son was murdered in Florida so there’s maybe that connection getting to him.

the only good thing is people will remember what JW has to say and who he’s after. He’s been telling us who the most wanted and true “dirtbags” are for decades. But he’s been saying some pretty extreme things that you’d normally not hear on a news network.
