Soooo the two PI's that have testified have said that the 1st isn't an expert on ballistics but measured bullet diameters , the 2nd didn't test different speeds when driving to and from locations.

I am sorry, but that Julie Rendalman lady sounds so arrogant and elitist. She called literally everyone, attorneys, expert witnesses etc, stupid and made fun of their accents. She sounds like an elitist, condescending New Yorker and I found it pathetic and sad.

I just want to say that people have to remember that the criminals on the stand are apart of the dark culture of the town. Remember there were hundreds of GOOD citizens that came out and helped search for Holly with the Bobos. These guys maybe sketchy but that is not the whole of the town.

This is a true statement. Many, many people from all over the area came out to help look for Holly. My Mother is from Lexington, TN and my parents were in Lexington that April following the AL 2011 tornadoes, due to the widespread power outage in AL. My mother said every restaurant, business and utility pole had Holly's missing poster up.

Watching the parade of sketch characters in this case makes me want to go hang out on the Upper East Side of NYC and do a museum crawl to balance the culture shock experienced in this trial.

so we will never know who made the phone call that changed the course of the investigation...how frustrating.

Honestly I think those type of calls should be confidential. If people think their name would be made public it may keep them from calling in tips. I cringed when former TBI revealed a tip came in from a suspects wife. I sure she didn't want that known. It was irresponsible of him to do that.

This is why I take long, long walks in my area of Los Angeles.

It makes me thankful not to have been around a lot of the drug culture. I avoided it growing up, and I escaped my small town in the northeast US upon graduating and going to college. My small hometown has turned into a drug infested place, like many small towns have experienced in the last decade or so. Not everywhere in the place I grew up, there are still nice areas there, but the proliferation of drugs has increased by large proportions and it is a known problem in my hometown.

Who said the entire town is this way? Or the county? When the term "sketch characters" are used, that refers to a very specific group of individuals in this trial who are a part of the drug culture, and have been described by the prosecution more than once as "bad people doing bad things."

I haven't seen anyone disparage the county or the entire state. I would think people are smart enough to understand a set of witnesses in a trial is not indicative of an entire population -- millions of people. When I refer to "culture shock" I mean the dark underbelly of the drug world, that world inhabited by people who are doing and/or cooking meth and other illegal drugs. That's what is being shown in this case because it's part of a specific environment that involves the people who have been arrested in this case.
