Zsa Zsa Gabor returns to hospital, inconsolable after Elizabeth Taylor's death

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt said he was taking his wife to the hospital after the actress learned her close friend Elizabeth Taylor had passed away on Wednesday morning and she was overcome with grief, according to Gabor's rep.

"She was inconsolable and her blood pressure shot up to dangerous levels," Gabor's spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com in a statement. "So the doctor told him to bring her into the hospital so they could medicate and watch her."


Taylor and Gabor, 94, had been friends for decades and Gabor apparently thinks that she hasn't got long to live.


"Zsa Zsa said 'Celebrities go in threes and I'm next,'" Prinz von Anhalt had told RadarOnline, referring to Taylor, 79, who passed away after spending six weeks in the hospital for congestive heart failure and Hollywood icon Jane Russell, 89, who died in February.

(my mom and I were talking this morning, and I said "I think Liz was the last of the generation, and she said "nope, ZsaZsa is still kicking" I had never considered them to be same caliber of acting, but I guess time wise they are.)

Yes, there are still many from "that generation" left...Lauren Bacall, for one. She and Elizabeth share a category: Highly acclaimed actresses (or actors, as I prefer to say).

There are others of that same relative age group, still kickin'!

Dame Elizabeth was younger...didn't get to 80 years before she departed.

Ailing actress Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed from her Beverly Hills mansion to the hospital today after spitting up blood...

Despite 94-year-old Zsa Zsa Gabor’s failing health, TMZ reports her 67-year-old husband is determined to give her a child and the $100,000 price tag of the surrogate process is worth it, even though in January he said they were being forced to sell their home in order to pay medical bills.

"It was always my wife's dream for us to have a child,” he confessed. “And even though we won't be using any of her eggs, she would be thrilled to know I'm going through with this."

According to TMZ, Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt visited a Beverly Hills clinic Wednesday to begin the process.

"I am so excited!” he exclaimed. “I hope Zsa Zsa is going to hang around for awhile. I want her to see and hold the baby's hand. She will be a mother again at 95! It was her wish to have a boy."

Gabor’s marriage to Prinz von Anhalt is her eight and longest-lasting. Wikipedia claims that during their 25-year relationship, the couple adopted several men: Marcus Prinz von Anhalt, Oliver Prinz von Anhalt and Michael Prinz von Anhalt.

Zsa Zsa’s health began to decline in 2002 following an automobile accident. She had her leg amputated in January 2011 due to blood clots and was hospitalized with high blood pressure following Elizabeth Taylor’s death on March 23.

"Oh, Jane Russell and Liz Taylor -- I'm next," her publicist said she predicted.

This guy is a VERY <unusual person>. Just how long does he suspect she'll hang around...at 95...with a leg amputated...with high blood pressure....and blood clots?

Sorry, but this just sounds hinky. Anyone thinking he wants another heir to ZsaZsa's money? I know that he claims there is none, but who knows if that's true. The bolded statement bothers me the most. "She would be thrilled. Why is she not thrilled? Is she so out of it, that she's not aware? Hardly a time to have a child.
