Local Tucsonan - arriving from Camino Real to River Road, this part of River Road would enable a person to cross River and keep going south on a smaller road without needing to pass a major intersection like Campbell/River. Other parts of River have medians, but this area does not.
Super far-fetched thought, but another motive -- maybe NG/SG is supposed to be an example to other reporters..."watch out, or what happened to NG will happen to your loved one." National reporters have potentially been put on notice. Will they not pursue certain stories now? Will they back down...
I mean, if they think the person is from Tucson and holding her in Tucson, couldn't they even drive around with her phone or whatever collects the pacemaker information and try to get a ping? Especially if they have a narrow-ish radius? (I realize this may be a really dumb idea!)
They'd also probably be unable to work if they're holding her, so they would have to have a means to sustain themselves. They would have gone "all in" on getting $$ from the abduction because their livelihood is gone/diminished. Even losing one client (NG) would be a substantial loss in income...
If an older person wants to maintain independence and can't drive much anymore, taking an Uber to your daughter's house is a very good way to "practice" taking an Uber. In this case, it's a short distance, it was light out, and you're expected. I would think an older person might need a few...
If SC gave her something, I doubt it was simply just so she could go to sleep. It was already late for a six-year-old to be up, and it was also late for the two boys to be up and watching a movie. I don't get the sense the family cared too much about bedtimes or when their kids fell asleep.
I'd think she would have had to keep a log/calendar. It was mentioned that she was faxed a list of her appointments, so that probably would have been in her car. As well, it looked like her planner was found in the car.
You're assuming, though, that an unrelated killer decided to frame SA. I...
I think it's entirely likely that one of Teresa's people called the last numbers dialed on Teresa's phone. In fact, I think I read that in a statement by either MH or RH. That number would have been Barb's landline, and when they called it, maybe Bobby or one of the other brothers picked up and...
RE; "Be not afraid...the police can't retaliate now...."
Maybe not now, but the world's attention won't be on the town forever, and in a small town, who wants to become a pariah?
The thing about him answering the door in a towel that could render it less creepy is that I expect those family members went back and forth between each others' houses/trailers all the time. If he didn't know she was coming, or if she arrived before he expected, that could explain it. I imagine...
