Not OP but CeCe Moore was interviewed in the Our Precious Hope documentary and said two distant family members were located, but they did not react positively and refused to assist. Hopefully things have changed since then.

“The Unit has partnered with Moxxy Forensic Investigations, which believes that the subject likely had African American ancestral ties to South Carolina and Delaware. Moxxy also identified surnames that could be related to the subject, including Harris, Ray, Rodgers, and Dukes.” Found Dead In...

The author of the find a grave tribute is the professional genealogist assisting the half brother in finding his lost sister Patra.

I believe the formal identification is taking so long because authorities are working with limited DNA and the closest living relative is a -half- sibling in another country. The source of Jane Doe’s DNA is dried blood in an old tube. It was badly degraded. Her body can not be located for new...

Yes, this is accurate. I emailed Hal Brown about this Find A Grave listing back in October and he confirmed the match was made a year ago, just waiting for formalities from the Delaware medical examiner. She was not reported missing and did not live in Delaware.

(Respectfully snipped) I think the death certificate was issued for the fetus because abortion was a criminal act, and whoever performed the abortion could then be charged with the murder of Jane Doe *and* the fetus?

Hal Brown retired a long time ago but still researches this case and others. After a series of scandals, the Delaware Medical Examiner’s office was turned over to the Division of Forensic Science, so that’s who you would need to contact.

Jane Doe’s maternal line is definitely Italian.

GUILTY DE - Smyrna, Wht/HispFemale, 2-5, 'Baby Elle', ball field, 13 Sept 2019 - Emma Cole *arrests*

I do not live in Smyrna but worked there for nearly 10 years. It is small and many drug users. Lots of families with children living in the run down motels in Smyrna and nearby Dover. I had no idea where this ball field was until I used Google maps, although I’ve driven that road many many...

Sorry if any of this has been said, still catching up on this thread. But the panther tattoo is mostly definitely from a flash sheet (Flash is a book of pictures or posters in tattoo shops to browse through for inspiration). Just Google “panther ripping through skin tattoo” and check the images...

Her name is Janice Taylor from Warner, NH. I have a picture of her but not sure if I’m allowed to post it here? She is not in Namus.

The dna available was taken from a small amount of old dried blood in a tube. Burial records were lost in a fire, so obtaining a new sample from the fetus isn’t likely. I asked Hal Brown for an update a few months ago. They were looking at miss x as a potential match to a missing girl from NH...
