I joined this conversation late. But this was my first impression when I read the request. I think it's multi-purpose, though. Investigators could question people who were present at that location that day/time about a) the car, b) anyone/anything weird, and c) the general amount of activity...

I'm curious about the time span of any videos in question. In other words, if someone is present in Raley's parking lot at 7:00 a.m, would any recording capturing that person's presence still be accessible that evening? Or would it have already been erased or recorded over?
