This is just my thoughts based on a personal experience that ended not so horribly. Maybe Mom was having a hard time seeing the man she loved and made a beautiful family with as a danger. The marriage/relationship was obviously fractured but maybe she still saw the good guy and not the bad guy...

Totally doable. I've gotten 1 deer and drug it alone 40 yards. Granted, he was only 170 lbs. As a woman it was a bit difficult being slightly up an incline in one very short area. The rest was pretty much even, grassy terrain which helped. Trust me, it wasnt a world record speed!
