This was described on the BBC news tonight as possibly the most famous tree in the world. Am I the only person who had never heard of it until it was cut down?

I think it unlikely someone helped him get out of the area where he landed. He wouldn't have known the exact flightpath the plane was going to take so the likely landing zone would have been so uncertain covering dozens of square miles.

When I was on a jury at the end of every day the judge told us to go away, go home, and forget about the trial until next time we were in court. I don't know if those are standard directions though.

Do we know what they have actually been charged with, is it literally "X is charged with murder", and "Y is charged with murder"? I ask because I was on a jury recently for a drug dealing case. The defendants weren't charged with drug dealing though, they were charged with "conspiracy" to deal...
