Excellent post 10ofRods! At the beginning of this case they found a live 22 bullet in the house (bedroom I think). You mentioning this really makes me wonder if she was shot too. If you see anything about the type of bullet found with her body please let us know.

The only thing is - in that case why bury the body? It would have been found sooner and he “exonerated.” (I suspect it was a shallow grave only because it is rock and desert like.) But, there is that fact you stated “he’s not terribly bright” so who can guess what he was thinking!

I recall when they found the body in “the boneyard” bones were exposed, whole skeleton not intact nor even present. It appeared she was buried shallowly and it had been messed with likely by animals. Those exposed bones definitely would’ve been sun bleached.
