1st dose of Pfizer vaccine on January 2.
No side effects, not even a sore arm/injection site.
My appointment experience was pretty much the same as IceIce9's. I opted for a Saturday appointment so I didn't have to drive as far across town, and it was very busy but very organized. They had a...
I'm with you. Her announcement is so devoid of joy - it's really sad.
Sad that she feels the need to defend or explain anything, and it sounds like she is defending herself/apologizing to her family mostly. I think it's tragic that she feels this way - she is a grown woman and that she feels...
Getting on the highway from the wrong way happens on occasion in Milwaukee, WI. I hear about it on the news sometimes. Every time I have ever heard of, the driver is always legally drunk, and most of the time far beyond legal.
I think a sober person would figure out really quickly that there is...
I doubt they are ever eager or glad to go into a shooting situation and/or potential mass terrorism event that may have been avoided or handled more "tactfully" (for lack of a better word) by the organizers. The police officers I know and grew up around never seemed to see themselves as...
Of course that is their job. Don't think I am not aware of that - my mom is a retired police officer. I worried about what she signed up to do every day from the time I was six until she retired.
But at the same time, we can be outraged that they have to face things like this, and I think we...
Good thing they were dead, but they don't know what exactly they are going into in situations like that. There could have been others. Thankfully there was not.
As for your questions, no that it not what I am saying at all. I have said what I mean and nothing I posted is anywhere near what you...
Really? Were the SWAT teams and the bomb squad off duty? I wasn't aware they did contract work. What about all the people called in during and after the fact to secure the scene?
I think we disagree on this though... I think organizing an "artistic rally" to assert freedom of speech with the intent to offend put the officers and other law enforcement and citizens in danger first. Otherwise there wouldn't have been so many there providing security before the shooters...
I find it horrifying that in the name of asserting Freedom of Speech rights, police officers and others were put in danger and could have paid with their lives. It's horrifying that something like this happened, but it is also horrifying to think that they must have been concerned beforehand...
OK then. I must have misunderstood your first post about "so much for HIPAA laws". I was speaking to legal aspects of it, because I thought that is what you were referring to. :dunno:
People can, and do, waive their HIPAA rights for stuff like this. Televised stuff, I mean. Intervention (the show) does/did this - they almost always say where a patient is going for rehab. It's publicity for the rehab center, and free rehab for the "patient" as the trade-off for signing away...
