I agree, seeing as he had plenty of prior experience dealing with LE on other crimes he obviously didn't have a very good plan or story worked out to cover his tracks, and confessed easily. They barely searched, which to me shows they didn't buy his story and knew early on something had...- FTW

This could be because the trailer was owned by Grandpa. With the recent death it is possible ownership was in probate and they might have worried about evidence being thrown out for an illegal search, etc. Can't come-up with any other reason that they wouldn't have received a search warrant...- FTW
