She's doubled her weight and grown 3 inches already... Wow! I'm happy to hear she's doing well (or as well as she can be given the situation) and is with loving family.

Autism is a HUGE spectrum and some people have very mild/subtle communication issues. Most people wouldn't know I was autistic if they only had a short conversation with me, for instance. Could be a similar situation with this girl.

I also find it very strange that a photograph of the mother has been publicly released but her name is being withheld. If it's a HIPAA related thing, her face shouldn't be released either.

I took it to mean that someone in the family was babysitting the 12 y/o boy, not that the boy was babysitting the pregnant girl. But now what we know the story about this boy being the father is false, none of this matters. It's possible he doesn't even exist.

She was found in a plastic bag on the side of the road. If this was a stillbirth, SIDS death etc and her family couldn't afford a proper burial, there are kinder ways to deal with that.
