    This youtube video for tourism in Chicago shows a lakefront trail tour starting at 31st street heading north. There is no big drop from the ground/trail areas to the lake but the lake itself goes deep quickly and the currents can be treacherous any time of year with there is wind and wave action.

    Other than a short blurb on msm online there is NO coverage in any US newspaper or TV station that I could find on his being missing. Just the Alaska State Troopers missing alert for him on social media. I also checked the Fairbanks area media this morning. and there's no mention of him.
