I would believe that LE made the determination that she was the victim of a crime once they determined she was not away of her own volition. The determination of being a victim of a crime was probably part of their justification to a judge for the search warrants used.

This is why it always made sense to me as to why they took the mattress. At the end of the day, the two DNA profiles LE should get from it are the home owners. It's the case for anyone. Your DNA is gonna be on your bed. Now can they conclusively say it's FGs DNA they found on that bed without...

Here's the question I was wondering about earlier (hoping this is ok to ask)... About the floor boards that were removed. Does anyone know what room they were removed from and how much of an area was taken? They would presumably take a larger portion than necessary to preserve any evidence...

Thanks. DNA would be most likely since they took the mattress. They should be to determine male or female from the samples they got. His being there is a given. As would be his wife's. It's their mattress. Unless they got a warrant for his DNA, they have had to wait until the court ordered...
