I hope this is not one of those cases that takes 5+ years to come to trial. There are so many of those.

On the CourtTV discussion of this case yesterday it was stated more than once that he overruled his lawyers who strongly discouraged him from taking the stand.

It's very frustrating. Philadelphia, Los Angeles, etc, no updates on several horrible crimes. I can find nothing on the heartless murder of Sean Toomey, nothing after an order for a preliminary hearing at the beginning of 2023. Many similar cases, just vanished. There's a thread here on this...

There are threads here on Camden Nicholson and Matthew Bryson McDonald, two young men whose parents tried their best to help them with their severe mental issues. They were repaid with murder. In Matthew's case, decapitation of his poor mother. Also the case that I followed closely for TWELVE...

There was a preliminary hearing scheduled in December of 2022. I can find nothing further on the case.

Camden Nicholson was convicted of three counts of murder with special circumstances in October, 2025 and will be sentenced on December 19th. I will get a link as soon as I can.

Consecutive life terms. Good. "You seem to be an evil spirit,” Judge Krug told Tower, sentencing him to consecutive life terms in prison in addition to the five years for trying to outrace the police in his car.

This is heartbreaking.

My first impressions and opinion? He needs to be locked away for the rest of his life. Sorry, but I'm all out of patience here. One very dangerous young man. JMO Rest in peace to the poor parents who tried to help him. As we often see here, good intentions can have horrific results.

I hope they get put away for a very long time...many decades. Despicable crime, and that's too gentle an adjective.
