Tanner - I didn't di it, but he did. I wonder after all this time who has been inside of me, because we've been cool this whole time"

I didn't "pull the trigger", zero did. I tried to stop him.

This self serving victim crap of his is disgusting.

oh my goodness, I can't stomach much more of the Tanner Horner life story time. He's talking about somebody calling him a pedo and some altercation he had in the past. I don't have the patience to really listen closely enough to follow along.
This is excruciating. Just send him away, either to Death Row or prison for LWOP. Be done with him. The judge needs to step in and call a halt to this horror show.

after the murder he bought paper towels and cleaner/sanitizer to clean up the mess. He thinks zero turned off his phone sometime during this fatal day.

I think this interview might be ending soon please god let it be so.

ETA I spoke too soon, back to talking about himself and his musical tastes and zero.

Having the family sit through this is a disgrace. The judge should stop this rambling nonsense. Nobody cares about his love of metalcore and christian metal. WTF is this. It serves no purpose. This nonsense should be edited out and only include hard facts especially after the guilty plea. MOO

I suspect that arguing pretrial was done about the interviews. Possibly the defense wanted it stipulated the videos would be played in full so they could try to make something of zero and DID for an mitigator to explain why he should get mercy. Or possibly the state wanted it all in so they could illustrate what a coward this malingerer is. I am not really sure I didn't follow any pretrial motions in the days leading up to this trial.

I agree it is really annoying. I wish we and the jury didn't have to slog through all this baloney.

Do you think the defense insisted on it previously, to try and garner some sympathy about his upbringing to avoid the death penalty for their client. Saying he has DID without having to prove it in court during the closing arguments? Like, you heard it yourselves during his interviews..

According to "Zero", Tanner didn't kill Athena, Zero did. Tanner was in the 'back seat'....or in the trunk. Zero is the bad dude. Except when he wanted to help LE find Athena....then he was the good guy. Got it?

smh

Trial is live.

Court is resuming after their lunch break now Espinosa still on stand. He estimates that Tanner at least five or six times redirected conversation requesting his price be paid in order to tell the truth. His price being release with an ankle monitor. Espinosa's impression was that unless the price was paid the truth would not be forthcoming. Defense objects to that characterization and the judge overruled and let it stand.

Horner would never tell them why he did this. Espinosa suggested Athena might have been in the wrong place wrong time. Tanner agreed with "I guess so"

This interview was the first time Tanner mentioned taking Athena to the hospital. Tanner blames zero for not letting him do that. This was the first time he admitted finding Athena's pants in his backpack. Prior to that he had denied having taken or kept any of Athena's clothing. Initially he said Athena's underpants were on her body, later he claimed he couldn't remember where her underpants were.

What the ever loving hoo hoo is TH playing?

Bad/sad upbringing
DID/fugue state
Autism/Asperger’s
PTSD
Side effects from Prozac and other mh meds

Have I missed anything? Is there anything left to throw at the wall and hope it sticks? My oh my…

Reading up on symptoms of mental illness won’t cut it without also presenting convincing behavior and this monster isn’t able to pull it off IMO.

The most convincing trait he displays is that of a psychopath. Now that I can believe.

Espinosa's role in the investigation changed at the point Athena's body was found, the investigation moved to the gathering and processing of evidence and dealing with third parties necessary in order to obtain evidence. Social media, DNA, physical evidence from Horner's home, etc.

ME was Dr. Dwyer (sp?)

Items that required forensics Espinosa was charged with making sure the physical evidence had the appropriate chain of custody and so he was tasked with getting all those pieces of evidence to the right testing facility
