We don’t really know exactly how long he was in there. The doorbell was disconnected approx 1:47 but another camera detected motion at 2:12, then her pacemaker disconnected from her Apple device around 2:28.
I had thought earlier on it was saint 2:12 motion detection was from an indoor camera...
I don’t see that at all. I only see him place his fingers on the bottom of the doorbell as if to judge how well it is mounted. I see no tools in his hand at all.
There is no screwdriver seen during the footage at any point though. We see him seem to check or feel how secure the camera is at the bottom at one point but nothing beyond that besides covering the lens with the plant.
There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that electric or internet was cut. There is no evidence WiFi was disabled either. People imagine scenarios and some run with it.
I believe she was alive at the time but isn’t now. There would be no reason to take her body from the home if she was already dead. That would only increase the risk for the perp.
…but there’s zero evidence he did anything prior to disable it. It appears to be battery operated and worked over WiFi.
If he had the forethought to disable it he had to do they run on battery as well. And even if the WiFi wasn’t working, that would t cause the doorbell to power down. In fact...
I haven’t seen anything that suggests an unusual skill set. It’s not hard to break into the average home at all. If NG had been paying for a storage subscription for all her cameras then we would know exactly how he got in, what he did to her, and how she was removed, not to mention what car...
Yes, LE have stated the doorbell camera was removed. The mount for it was still on the doorframe until this last week when they finally removed it.
I just don’t think this guy was a mastermind. As I mentioned in another comment, he was dressed like perps in a hundred movies and tv shows right...
To be honest, he was dressed like you see perps dressed in a hundred movies. Hell he was dressed, backpack and all, like the serial killer in BBC’s The Fall. You’re right that any reasonably smart criminal should expect cameras but what little we see of him doesn’t indicate he has any special...
We have absolutely zero evidence of how he removed the doorbell. We only know that it was removed. Yes most brands do use a screwdriver or a tool but those are not required. These devices are made of PLASTIC. You can easily pull them or break them off their mounts with enough pressure. Mine even...
There is one spot on the porch, close to the door that looks very specifically like a fine spray from a cough or similar. It’s distinctive from the normal blood drops that continue down the path.
Even if the WiFi wasn’t working (and it obviously was since the video footage we’ve seen was uploaded to Google servers) the doorbell would still have power. In fact the Nest can locally store up to an hour of footage if it looses connection to the internet.
It does appear to have been battery...
In my opinion, if the front door was already unlocked, he could have just stepped inside and removed the doorbell while keeping completely out of shot. In fact, if they’d already gained entry, he wouldn’t have had to come up on the porch from the front at all. There’s also the fact that the...
