I think LE has the probable perpetrators under surveillance and that LE is intentionally escalating the rhetoric to cause the perps to panic and use their cell phones (which would be monitored) or rush somewhere that might lead LE to more evidence. JMO

I agree but I also think she was coached prior to releasing this. She says the phrase “it’s never too late” 3 times. To me that is significant. It’s a phrase designed to reduce psychological entrapment. Her message/statement is giving the perp(s) or those that may know what happened to NG a mental exit ramp. Instead of the perp(s) or others involved believing there’s no way out of this, she’s reframing that belief. When she says it’s never too late, shes also saying You still have a choice.

Perhaps: It's never too late to do the right thing. And if you do the right thing, the consequences will not be so severe?

Yep, think how brilliant it will be if cops already did a DNA sweep of the car, right? They have that DNA of "those" people. Now lets say those people aren't in Codis, but now those people are on black glove. Bingo.

Which black glove? The one found on the side of a road two miles away from NG's? And where was the warrant on those people executed--they live approx. 2 miles away in a nearby neighborhood. How does that pin them at the scene? How is that bingo? All that proves that a commonly used glove they are linked to was discarded roadside in their general area.

Now if Nancy's DNA/blood was linked in the glove/vehicle that's a whole 'nother ballgame, but thier DNA link to a glove they could have discarded in their own neighborhood?

Is a lantana stem strong enough to do that? I've seen that said many times but I've not seen any proof it can be done. I'd love to know if it's possible to push the tab with a plant stem.

I'd also think he'd have something more sturdy available. A key, a knife, a screwdriver, something from Nancy's house, etc. LE might have video of whatever eventually removed the cam.

No they aren’t remotely strong enough to be used that way. Look how easily he rips it off the ground too. He was bending it in a shape to cover the lens, not isolating one stem to use as a tool.

what is everyone's theory so far?

i honestly have no idea. certain information has been "reported" but not confirmed by LE, so who knows if it's true or not. i don't have a theory, but i will say i still don't rule anyone or any scenario out until we know more directly from LE.

burglary gone wrong. aimed at something specific like a safe or hidden valuables -- hence bringing a gun and waking her. taking her with them may have been to buy more time to get a safe combination out of her. lantana man's backpack may have been full of tools to remove the safe.

leaning toward 2 perps but solo is possible. if not known to her, then known to someone who'd been in her house. perp(s) have committed crimes before but are not necessarily good at it. crime was clearly planned, but not well, and didn't go to plan.
