He instinctively checked his gun. That is something some folks do who are in a trade that wears the tool in a front pouch. Such as painters and drywallers or electricians. He has a task and his tools. Also may contractors without trade accounts buy supplies from walmart or such. I would drive around looking at local construction jobs to see if anyone has similar supplies and talk to them.

With all due respect, I do not see how anyone can claim this fellow is "calm, casual, not stressed...and good at quickly solving a practical problem" based on his frankly, laughable, attempt to use the plant. He actually solved nothing with the plant and looked exactly like an incompetent guy in full panic mode with his effort to do so. I think we are giving this guy too much credit. MOO
i wouldn't have said he was good at problem-solving, only that he attempted to rather than freezing up or charging ahead without doing anything about the camera. the fact that he kept thinking, even though he did a bad job of it, seems significant to me. maybe a sign he's broken into houses before? i don't see panic.

New theory of mine: We saw body damage on NG's newish car. Seems like that may have been fairly recent, because I would expect NG to have that repaired in a reasonable amount of time. The car towed from the person's home today, who was detained on Friday evening, but not arrested, also has body damage.

Is it possible that NG was involved in a fender-bender with another person, which resulted in some rage behavior by that other person? Could that person have followed NG to her home and created this tragedy in the name of revenge?
I couldn't see any damage on her vehicle, and I even pulled up the vehicle maker's website for example photos to compare.
The bumper cover on that model has all sorts of deliberate indentations and curves that could look like damage in certain lighting.
I'm completely open to someone showing me exactly where the damage was...

The car at the swat location was VERY damaged.
HMMM. Possible that that is how LE knew what car they were looking for? jmo..Reported accident?

Not NG's car, the vehicle at the SWAT location that happened on Friday. I have not seen anything verifying damage to NG's vehicle.
We are saying the same thing.

First thing I thought was they just told on themselves.
IMO.
First thing I thought was that it’s a lie like everything else this person has written in an attempt to misdirect, obfuscate, and confuse.

Of course, no evidence pointing either way yet!

Why do you think there is a female accomplice? I have thought of this as well.
I agree, at least two people.

I think a neighbor reported a young couple (male and female) in a car his driveway, strangers in the past couple of months?

NG might come to the door if a young female was crying and pretending to be in distress?
Well, I made a post yesterday AM about patterns I was noticing in the investigation. Specifically that both raids resulted in homes where it was a mother and son. I believe in Carlos situation it a MIL/SIL
Situation but it still stands. Both raids involved homes with mom/son ( male female) family situation where no father was reported. Both homes also had silver, (possibly grey) vehicles searched. Carlos, from the first raid, his vehicle was not seized. The RR was seized. Both vehicles have what appear to be dark rims. Of course this is my own amateur opinion. It was just something I noticed and couldn’t shake.
I re thought a few things and decided to come back to say that IMO, I’m noticing a pattern emerging.

Couple of things I’ve noticed.

Regarding both of the raids they involved families. Specifically at least a mother and son. With the son apparently living with the mother. No father is mentioned by MSM in any of these raids.

Both vehicles that were searched or seized in relation to these raids appear to be silver.

Carlos, the one in the first raid has a silver Nissan Rouge. His vehicle was searched but not seized to my knowledge. The second vehicle, the Range Rover. Was seized and also silver. However they both also share another common characteristic of having black rims.

I think they are looking for at least one type of vehicle that is a silver SUV/Crossover type with dark rims. I believe they are also looking for at least a man and a woman (or mother and son) that live together, a family.

Another thing I see mentioned is the clothing of the perp on video. Obviously layered, but beyond the obvious reasons of these layers, I can’t help but wonder if the layers were to also protect the skin of the perp from brush and cacti as the perp
approached her home.

Nancy Guthrie disappearance: Sheriff says no arrests, none remain in custody after major operation

No sign of Nancy Guthrie two weeks after disappearance

Nancy Guthrie: Man detained, released by law enforcement speaks out | FOX 10 Phoenix

I’ve included links and a few photos. The first is the Range Rover, Nissan rouge, and an aerial of NG house that shows much better her relation to some of her neighbors and the surrounding landscape. The photo of her home also shows at least what appears to be one sliding glass door.

MOO
Edited by me for grammar mistakes, Phone posting atm, plz forgive

I don't think the 4th letter is necessarily true and factual. Who's to say they didnt look at one of the POIs and research their backgrounds and use the info to divert LE attention? Why would someone "dox" themselves?

On the second or third letter they issued a threat (speculating toward Nancy) of what they would do if they didn't get their money. They shifted from observer of kidnappers to kidnapper. Total bs

I thought Lantana had little spikes. I don't see it much here because it's classed as a weed.

Doesn't seem smart for the suspect to grab something that could prick a hole in the glove IMO.
Purple trailing lantana does not have little spikes. It is grown as an ornamental small shrub/groundcover in the desert. (there are many varieties and maybe some have spikes, maybe the one with orange flowers?)

I think TMZ should just forward whatever they get from anyone saying they know something to LE and stop making breaking news announcements to the public. It's a serious case involving an 84 yr old woman's life, not the latest celebrity scandal. That's JMO and I know others feel differently.
Honestly, I’m going to program a Firefox filter that uses regex to remove 🚨 ANY ALL CAPS TEXT AND RED LIGHTS 🚨 from the DOM.

None have spikes that I'm aware of.

Possible, but I think the more likely reason is that NG might have been removed from her property in her own car and then whoever was driving her car and whoever was driving that other car both drove to the same place (terrain that my have been tough on both cars).

NG’s car was taken by LE after LE reportedly viewed Circle K surveillance. I’m guessing LE saw NG’s car on surveillance being used that night. And for perpetrators so careful to disguise themselves and possibly protect themselves from DNA transfer, it would make sense for them to use NG’s vehicle to contain her until they get her to where they are taking her. Presumably, her vehicle electronics will tell that part of the story.

Link to LE visiting Circle K:

I don’t disagree with you but it does seem like a coordinated effort with FBI, so maybe that’s how they want to roll. It seems unique. JMO.
If it's a coordinated effort which to me means the FBI is telling them to make the announcements then yes thats fine. Was there something specific that you saw that makes you think this is the case? Appreciate your thoughts.

Do we have pics of NG's car outside of the garage? Several times, people have said there was damage. I have not seen it for myself. Maybe as it was being impounded for inspection? TY JMO
