If someone is reported to Facebook as being dead, the account can be "memorialized", with the "remembering" text added and the account being locked so no one can log in. It makes sense it wouldn't happen right away, family and friends would be grieving and have much else to arrange.
I suppose...
Noticed this in the below article (BBM)
There are no matches for her DNA, and while an examination of her teeth indicates that, like most people in Australia, she has had some ''Western-style'' dental work done, there have been no matches to any dental records, here or overseas.

Still no update :(. Hope there will be news in the coming week.
My thoughts are with William's family, how incredibly painful to be facing another Christmas without William.
Hope that if there's someone who knows or suspects what happened to William, they will find the courage and decency...
One of my relatives was injured in a car accident. Only the one vehicle involved. The driver was found to be at fault and my relative was paid compensation. It was made up of a number of components, including future loss of earnings and future medical expenses. With regard to those, it was...
It gets a bit tricky with the internet. The date published could be argued to be the date viewed, copied or downloaded. It could work in a criminal's favour for their defence lawyer to have a pile of articles and comments repeating information about prior convictions. IMO.
BBM Sometimes I have wondered if William could possibly have wandered off and somehow been missed, too, it seems less likely as time goes on though when locals still look out for him and police do training exercises in the search areas, according to this article ...
I tried to post this in last thread in reply to DutchTreat, but the thread closed,
In the situation where you're injured and the driver was at fault, you can apply for compensation from the traffic accident commission. But it can take a long time to be assessed, I have a family member who...
A week or two in hospital for leg amputation, but it was reported she was paralysed... 6 months or more for a serious spinal injury, really depends how bad the injury and what other injuries or conditions a person has.
If paralysis due to brain injury or stroke...a few weeks to a few months?
Maybe it was part of the scam ... it seems like a pretty huge risk to turn up in person and pretend to be someone else, either they're going to use Karlie's genuine ID and try and have an explanation ready for why they don't look the same (bruised, swollen face self inflicted or courtesy of a...
Or if it was after the Centrelink payments stopped in 2011, maybe they then moved on to using the account for wages fraud, I'm thinking of that ABN which may or may not have been set up in Karlie's name ... that was 2011 ... sounded like it might have been a mining related type of business. I...
Sick, evil monsters! I think not long before we hear of arrests being made - they've left too much of a trail. A sleuther (apologies, can't recall whom) said a few pages back that they found an ABN for a Karlie Jade Stevenson from 2011...may be significant?
ThanksJaneSA and Makara, I think it was this article, 9th paragraph :
http://www.theage.com.au/national/girl-in-suitcase-mother-murdered-in-belanglo-was-a-beautiful-but-lost-and-struggling-teen-20151023-gkh8x3.html?skin=text-only
Hi Makara, I have edited the wording of my post as I think I misread the "off the grid" expression as being made by one of the detective superintendents... is this ok or should I remove the reference to it altogether?
