Yes,they did ask the sister what color shoes but I think the confusion is because later in the show (I think!),it was in a snippet or the actual show,they have the sister saying clothes.IMO

Im more looking at the image of DN by the car and looking at his reflection in the car window,that reflection is the closest I've seen him look like BG on the bridge.Might be the hat.All other hats on DN have looked small on him.
