That is so sweet :)
I know that likes per se aren't important in the big scheme of life. It's just that if I do decide to comment on something else, my stats make me look like a rubbish poster, which I don't believe I am.
Okay, that probably answers my question then. When was this forum change that lost all the likes?
Most of the posts are on one case in 2017. I see that I posted once in each of 2016, 2015 and 2014 too.
I posted a while go on a case where I have local knowledge, and recall having many people in the community 'like' my input. Now my history shows I have some contributions but that nobody at all liked them, zero :(
Why is this?
I believe that HvB has not been allowed unsupervised access to his sister since the murders. If this is indeed the case, I think there is some justifiable fear there.
Although "krap" literally means scratch, in this context I think a better translation would be nitpicking.
I think the court break is good, it gives Marli another eight weeks to get her memory back. Unless her memory is fine and she doesn't want to testify against her brother.
I think the Allemann Street location from Engelbrecht's testimony is a bit of a red herring. The van Breda property shared it's back boundary with a house in Allemann Street, and the houses in that part of De Zalze are quite close together. So if Henri was near the back of the house looking up...

He did state that Marli was alive at the end of the carnage, and that he ignored her.
But yes, during his fantasy play-by-play game in his head with the males he acknowledges Teresa but blocks out Marli.
If Tracey is correct that Henri was at a popular local wine festival this weekend...
... then this guy, on trial for parricide and fratricide, feels indomitable and has no boundaries.
I suspect even his legal team, astonished that he's out of jail during his trial, are thinking, what...
Followed by a lengthy phone call, calls to Bianca, cigarettes, and:
This chills me to my bones.
Family dead and dying, blood everywhere, and not even taking his family's pulses or trying to comfort his still living sister. This guy has no emotions at all, a classic sign of extreme...
This is excellent, feel free to do more analyses!
Especially interesting is your highlighting of "started". One would hope this was really how HvB spoke in those first few hours, an actual sort of verbal tic, a "tell", rather than Malan's interpretation of his verbs processed through his own...
[Red is mine]
This is how I read it:
Andre du Toit is not in the business of obstruction of justice in the murder of his sister Teresa. However he was called as a witness of defence of the only person accused of her murder. So he's not necessarily a hostile witness, but he's probably...
