I've read before where the detectives thought they knew who did the murders, and that there were two of them, and one had already died. How they came to that conclusion, I have no ideal.
Either way, these murders should have been solved along time ago.
To answer your first part, I would venture to guess that the killer/s ordered Rose and Roger on their stomachs either with a gun or the weapon he used to kill them, then covered them up after murdering them. As for Rose being dressed, she is most likely how the killer gained his entrance into...
Let's examine this quote, for example.
In my opinion this destroys the "Roger killed while Rose was away" theory. This tells me they were both killed together with the "struck in identical places on the back of the head" This more than likely wouldn't be the case if they were murdered...
It seems i've only read about an argument with the bartender in only one article. At this point, i'm not convinced it actually amounted to much. But until we know for sure, it's all a guessing game.
It depends. If in fact Rose did have an encounter with the bartender, and he really wasn't the killer, then he really might have thought he would be blamed for something he didn't do and wanted to get the hell out of Dodge. He actually might have been the kind of person who just didn't want to...
Those were actually quotes from the news articles immediately after the murders itself, so back then it had just happened and they were just going on the assumption that they were killed in their sleep. That was before they actually knew very much about the murders since it had just happened...
I just read several older articles on this case and made several notes of interests below from the combined articles I read. Many facts I had not known til now. Some of the facts below could possibly change some parts of the theories I have been thinking in this case.
Below are parts of each...
Good scenario, and something like that was certainly possible.
It seems this could only have happened if Roger himself went to the door looked out the peephole and recognized who was on the other side. And the person on the other side would have had to do a good job at hiding the weapon...
Yes, I guess you can look at it that way, but you can also look at it another way, the more different ideas you see, the higher the chance you'll find something you missed before or didn't think of before that can help fit easier into the puzzle you are trying to complete.
If you can even get a...
Good idea with the list of people. I'm sure the ex-boyfriend could contribute greatly to this murder case, assuming, of course, he is not the killer and would be willing to talk. If you decide to try and contact him, be careful. Considering his past with Rose, it sounds like he wasn't a...
Glad to see a couple more people contribute to this all-important discussion. Welcome to the conversation trisha_mc and 4SAM.
Please continue to include your theories. The more input and theories we have, the better chance of coming up with one good eventual scenario.
While it's certainly possible that the killer could be a stranger, I still prefer to go forward with my theory that the killer was known to the victims. I base this on the following reasons:
1. Both of the victims were covered up with a sheet, which has shown in other murder cases that the...
McBrainder and CurSleuth, you both present good arguments for your theories.
CurSleuth, I still have to agree with McBrainder about the soap bits. Yes, I understand that the killer is not going to go to the bathroom and get soap and come back out and nervously carve away at the soap while...
