Australia - Warriena Wright, 26, dies in balcony fall, Surfers Paradise, Aug 2014 #11

Yes, I agree that something seems not quite right to me too. I also get the feeling that there has been someone always bailing him out, keeping a lid on the crazy, but basically it's like a time bomb waiting to explode. Just a feeling I get.

My thoughts exactly. I really do hope it's just a rushed interpretation by the reporter and that is why it's so hard to understand. I'm still trying to figure out what it meant!

Anyone else feel a bit baffled by it? I get the sense that each response to each question has been either too brief, or rather baffling. Where is the attempt to communicate in a way that's easy to understand? The jury are laymen (& women lol), afterall. But it's as if they are having to do...

Maybe it's the reporting, but I'm yet to see the long version of any answer, to any of their questions.

You consider a 14th floor balcony a safe area in the situation? Safe from what? Fire? I can't imagine how it could be considered safe unless there was a threat to life and/or blockage of the doorway to the unit.

Are you suggesting that placing her on the balcony was a reasonable thing to do in the situation? Maybe it would be, if he hadn't already mentioned walking her out the door and hadn't continually mentioned the balcony in reference to death. But he did do both of those things. This makes the...

Thanks for clarification, Amee. I guess this was after they were given more time to piece together their application. Seems very specific IMO

I remember reading about his diagnosis of being on the autism spectrum and how the bail hearing judge thought this might be relevant in explaining his behaviour after Warriena fell. http://www.9news.com.au/National/2014/09/08/11/50/Autism-diagnosis-could-affect-Tostee-case

Does this include people incapable of being any real harm due to their size, level of intoxication etc?

If, by "used", you mean selectively and with little reference to what was going on (in any way that is of use to the jurors) then yes I agree, it was "used".

Just wondering alioop, if you could explain to a layperson, how this is significant? Does it mean they're so confident that they don't need to declare their strategy? :( Thank you everyone for the updates. Hugs Amee

    Allison Baden-Clay - GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD #45

I couldn't agree more! But honestly, could you not come up with oh, let's say ANYTHING other than the story he came up with? He sure had long enough to think it all through...sheesh. One positive for poor Allison, GBC couldn't pull it off. About the story being thrown out of order at the time...
