Trooper, A significant slip would be putting it mildly IMO.
He started to say he called Kate at 10 past ni... , when all of a sudden it dawned on him, that the police were there at 08.45am.
Uh oh, might need to re-time that..... 10 past seven.....

I forgot that little Freudian slip, Ladybird!..

Maybe Allison was supposed to 'disappear' from the seminar... but then, how to explain the clothes the body was found in. .. not what one would wear to an outing in the city. ... its awfully complicated to pull off the perfect murder.

and what was his excuse for her car being there if she was at the conference? she was meeting kate at 8am, so surely she would have at least driven to the office?

Maybe he thought that Kate was picking Allison up .. who knows.. but it was one thing he didnt know, until that morning, at 7.09am and then everything curdled.

Also interesting from the records that Nigelaine's Internet was used at 6.32 am on the 20th of April. I wonder if QPS have access to the history of what was accessed at that time?

I have spent some time looking at the phone records, and even though I cannot excatly put my finger on it there are a few things that make me think. One is the office phone, the bill is for from the 22nd of March through to the 22nd of April. The phone seems to divert mainly to GBCs phone quite frequently until the 19th of April. There is only one call on the 20th to his phone and that is the last entry.
What you are saying is that someone is calling the office phone, which then diverts to GBC's phone right up 'til the 19th April?
That someone wouldn't be she who who needed to phone incognito per chance?
But after that night it didn't matter.....

At the Committal, TM stated that she had deleted a lot of her texts/calls and emails. The BCs would have done the same ......All looks suspicious. Hope the tech experts have been able to recover them and sift through for the more incriminating info (like info relating to Allison's body; before it was found) .... they took the computers to do just that.

Have any locals noticed that the area around the bridge seems to have been cleared in the last few days? I drove over it yesterday and it looks much better - clearer and less overgrown.

Yep. A few weeks ago someone [cant remember , maybe makara } posted a link for the BCC for requests to clean up the area . I for one submitted request so maybe the council came good . If they did good on em and anyone who lodged a request :great:

Good question. This is what I found so far:

Parliament of Australia website
Telecommunications data retention—an overview

Telecommunications data is generated whenever someone makes a phone call, accesses the Internet, or sends an email. Traditionally, CSPs have used much of this data for their own business purposes, such as providing itemised billing, monitoring download limits, marketing (for example, promoting new or additional services to existing customers based on usage), and monitoring and maintaining their networks. As there is currently no requirement in Australia for carriage service providers to routinely retain communications data for law enforcement or national security purposes, without any further need for this information, CSPs would most likely then delete it. As one unnamed industry source puts it, ‘“Most ISPs that I’m aware of flush out the data they don’t need to keep as quickly as possible after they’ve completed their billing operations because storing data costs money”’.[22]

Law enforcement agencies are able to access historical/existing telecommunications data (where it is still held by a CSP) by authorisation under the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979, in cases where the information is considered reasonably necessary for the enforcement of the criminal law or a law imposing a pecuniary penalty, or the protection of public revenue

I can't vouch for the reliability of this site but it says with their software you can access deleted items.

Wasnt there a photo of Toni and Gerard together at Nigelaines home?

When Toni first started there, Elaine was the receptionist... and certainly they were there , NigelandElaine, as sales persons on commission, when the big firing of Toni because Allison had found out happened.. everybody was called in for the big announcement..

and in the bail objection by the prosecutor, one of the reasons the Police objected to bail was that Nigel and Elaine were covertly assisting Gerard in maintaining contact with Toni after Allison went missing. .. found out due to lawful intecepts of phones. I cannot imagine how the Dickies felt about that.

But Gerard was adamant , in his interview that morning, that his family knew nothing about either his previous affair, or the resumption of it. He wanted them removed from the room while he spoke , mumbled about it.. ditto with Constable Ash.. definately requested that the affair wasnt mentioned to Nigel or Olivia. Implied that it was a secret from them , and only known to Allison and the other person.

So if its to be believed that the BadenClay crew knew nothing about it, they certainly knew by the time the police put listeners on their phones..pretty damn quickly, I'd expect, and accepted and covertly assisted Gerard in maintaining contact.

which is a bit odd, isnt it?.... lets look at that scenario as if it was real.. your sons wife is missing, suddenly you find out he's been having an affair with one of your fellow employees, who was sacked back on Oct 12th because your missing daughter in law found out.. and now you are covertly assisting your son, even though its been made quite clear by the police that things are not quite right, and in fact, the daughter in law is still missing all this time, still hasnt been found or turned up. And the story that morning is you know nothing about it. Nothing. (Gerard speaking)

But you covertly assist your son in contacting this woman. Covertly, in this context, means they were not instructed by the police to do this.. they did it off their own bat.. .. they did it in a manner to assit Gerard in fooling the police.

I thought they knew about the affair but not the rekindling of it hence why he wanted the bcs out of the room while he told the cops . didnt nbc say something about the shennanigans had to stop .:banghead:

Squizz, it is alleged that a 4.00am candelight walk starting at Kholo bridge is being organised for 20th April 2013 in memory of Allison. Possible council has co-operated and cut the overgrown grass around Kholo bridge IMO.

Please may I share some information about this walk for Allison.

Brian M has posted on AC site with a proposal for a walk to Kholo Bridge. Brian is Sasha's owner.

<modsnip>

Thoughts from myself: This walk may help people, local and otherwise try and come to terms with this terrible thing that has happened in Brookfield. Perhaps some healing may be necessary. And this walk may address and acknowledge the fact that Allison Baden Clay was a real person, with real merit, and with real love and affection, and neither her passing has gone unnoticed or the manner in which the BC family have conducted themselves in regards to her passing.

I understand that the walk will be to Kholo Bridge. (Although I see in his post he says to Allison's house.) Details to be advised.

Gerards Forced Error.

From Gerards first call to the police, 7.15am it has always appeared to me to be where the whole 'plan' fell apart.. .it was either too early, if she went for a morning walk or too late if she went for an evening walk. Up until then, he is texting Allison , setting a scene, up now , girls are up, making lunches, where are you, and so on. .some unforseen thing then forces Gerard to start ad libbing, on the fly, and the whole thing starts to unravel. The timing is now all over the place, and out of his control.

In his interview that morning, he says, he knew Allison wanted to be leaving by 7am ,... the seminar began at 8.30am in the city.

at 7.09, he rings Kate Rankin.. he makes a significant slip to Sgt Curtis about this..

BadenClay*....' she was meeting Kate at the office at 8am, which I didnt actually know, but I knew she wanted to leave here at 7am..'

He finds out from Kate Rankin at 7.09, that Allison was going to meet Kate at 8am in the office.. he didnt know this bit of Kate and Allisons plan that morning until 7.09am approx..that is, he didnt know last night or this morning about this detail in the arrangement, but he does now .. assuming 2 mins at the most for this call, he is off and setting a whole other scene.. 4 minutes later, ' I am driving up (indistinct) street , etc.. '

Something about Allison and the arrangement to meet Kate at the office at 8am, which he didnt know before , but now knows at 7.09 am has set a mighty cat among the pigeons, and he has to , or is compelled to, make that 7.15am call to the police.

You and I must be psychically linked, Trooper. I posted this exact question yesterday on the GBC phone thread! This was IMO, a major stuff up on GBC's part. He definitely meant 9.10 which was his plan, but had to change it all in a hurry and, when under the pump at the interview, automatically reverted to the planned time and just caught it. I suspect the cops will be alive to it.

I've read that psychopaths and those who think they are intellectually superior to everyone else and are great orators etc, are actually quite bad performers when they are interrogated and tend to make all sorts of mistakes.

... its awfully complicated to pull off the perfect murder.

I couldn't agree more! But honestly, could you not come up with oh, let's say ANYTHING other than the story he came up with? He sure had long enough to think it all through...sheesh. One positive for poor Allison, GBC couldn't pull it off.

About the story being thrown out of order at the time of the phone call to Kate Rankin, that is a strange co-incidence if not the very reason for his 000 call. But, hadn't he already told the girls the "fallen down a hole" story? Surely he would know that would be repeated at some stage during their school day. Bless their hearts :(

With computer forensics, the deleted items can be recovered IF the space created upon the deletion has not been rewritten to with new data, then I believe it is gone for good. This I believe goes for camera storage, computers and phone storage whereby the source storage device is formatted into sectors. The sectors that contained the data can be erased, but until new data becomes stored into those original sectors (this may not necessarily be used when saving new data as other empty sectors may exist) is the original data no longer able to be recovered.

What a touching tribute. I am not sure how safe it will be in the dark though. Mt Crosby Road has no footpath and practically no verge on the side of the road in most parts.
I would love to be a part of it if the police sort the traffic.

Thank you!! Good point so if you have a full device and delete items what is recoverable is depended on space. However I also have the opinion that..

All data is saved by the Internet service provider. I feel based on those who access and view.... Well things that offend mankind is kept on file and collectible from the ISP.

Correct me if I'm wrong. :seeya: cheers

My own opinion of course.

Trooper that 7.09am call to Kate was for only 3 seconds. I do agree with you though that something forced the error.

Wow. People are going for a walk. Awesome that this will create more media coverage and I hope more donations to the trust. Has anyone thought to do it in the populated area of the roundabout which was a focus of police inquiries in MSM. Allison was discovered at a location that some say is not safe or a viable option for walking safely and over how many km's. You can possible have more supporters if you make it last less than 14kms.

PS if it is on the news I want a clip of Scraps.
