Things I find interesting:
1. In recent statements by PD, there has been no mention of the BOL for the car seat (at least none that I've heard) including the statement released by the Allegheny Co PD. Did they find the car seat already? Was it in the house or park area where she was found...
Per one of the CBS local stations, it sounds like PD is focusing on the residence at the edge of the park. "Law enforcement taped off a house in the area of the park and was seen removing items from the residence."
She was spotted at around 5:15 near the intersection of Route 22 and 48. That's near the Miracle Mile Shopping Center, so maybe she was on their cameras? My guess is that people assumed it was the Monroevillle Mall which is further west.
It's more of a hiking park with hunting in some areas. It also has pavilions and playgrounds on site with a lodge on the south end. It's 635 acres in space though, so a very large area.
I didn't see it already, so here's a 'timeline':
Father stated his daughter was abducted and called 911 at around 5PM - Bryant and Clay Drive in Penn Hills.
Vehicle was seen in the area of Monroeville at around 5:15PM - approximately 12 min drive from original location.
Suspected abductor...
...although it does sound like he immediately informed police of his relationship, I don't believe his family knew and per several news articles/releases, they mentioned that the abduction took place during an Uber or ride share ride (depending on the article).
From the early on news reports, I didn't see anything about the father stating an Uber/Lyft driver took his kid, but rather that the vehicle had both Uber and Lyft stickers/decals on the window. My guess is that the police likely told him not to mention any further connection to the driver at...
Since this forum has so much info already posted, here's a basic timeline of facts:
01/04/2019
22:00: Around this time, SS used her mother’s vehicle to drive herself and a friend approximately 45 minutes from home to Lexington KY to visit another friend. Mother’s car was left at friend’s...
Sounds like the taxi driver was cleared by police already. Also, it was an official taxi. PR may have been doing some unofficial taxi driving in her personal vehicle per his family, but he was not a marked taxi driver.
Does anyone else find it odd that a 21 yr old would leave their phone at home on a night out? Police found her phone at her residence. I'm also wondering if the lip gloss (along with the screw driver and claw hammer) they found was the type she uses.
Has anyone found a news article that...
According to what the news is stating his sister has told them in interviews (Telegraph, re-printed in the Standard), he informed his family that after seeing a woman in distress and crying, he offered to drive her home. He stated to them that he put her address in his 'sat nav' before she came...
She may also have presented as more intoxicated after that time. From what the news has posted, she was intoxicated enough to have an establishment not let her in. So, she would have had to have had enough to outwardly indicated her level of intoxication. Depending on how much and when her...
Although, they could have already left by the time the gf realized he wasn't meeting up at the car. If they are his family, she might not have their contact info and thus no way to call them.
Scenario...
GF and family of Ian part since she remembers where the car is parked and she figures Ian...
His phone pinged near his vehicle, but how would the smoke from the fire affect that? Could that throw it off depending on the amount of particulates in the air from the smoke? I know that in a forest fire that the ping can be off due to tree canopies, but not sure about from the actual smoke.
