Just a thought. What if it wasn't cctv which led police to PR, but prior convictions/history? If (big if, I am purely speculating) he has any history which could potentially be in some way relevant, this could make him a person of interest locally. Knowing this, he would have to be a step ahead and tell his sister that he gave Libby a lift in case they came to question him.

Could the taxi driver who took her home around 11pm be PR? We don't seem to have any details of this taxi. He dropped her off, saw that she was in a state. Maybe she refused his help, walked to the bench (to catch a bus back to The Welly?), he decided to keep an eye on her for safety (or other reasons) and had a takeaway in the meantime? She then might have changed her mind and walked over to his car to get a lift back to The Welly?
Just putting it out there, any thoughts?
Sounds like the taxi driver was cleared by police already. Also, it was an official taxi. PR may have been doing some unofficial taxi driving in her personal vehicle per his family, but he was not a marked taxi driver.

Watched the slowed down video.

To me looks like some sort of struggle at the side of the car.. not like he's forcibly pushed her in but like he's had to persuade her and held onto her.

Also for a very split second as the car passes looks like he hunkers down lower and I feel like I can see dark rimmed glasses.

Maybe I'm reading way too much into it though.
Yes, have just watched it again. I think I can make out a hesitation to get in from the body language of the legs, then a 'helped in' action.

Im amazed that they think she is potentially still warm enough to be picked up by infrared. This makes me think that the suspect isn't talking, so they're having to cover all eventualities. Any alternative thoughts?

It is feeling a little repetitive in here. I suppose some people don't have time to read all posts. I must admit that I skipped a few pages myself today. But some questions and thoughts still popping up now were discussed a while back. It is the norm for these cases on Websleuths though, so I ought to be patient really!

The ‘tools / lipgloss’ were ruled out . Maybe she had a new expensive phone for Christmas and didn’t want to risk taking it out , my sons cracked 2 screens now on his phones taking them out when drinking, so I suppose going all out as a group would be a decent reason for not bothering to take it with you if you were worried about it getting dropped when drinking / dancing ... my daughter however can’t even have a shower without taking her phone to bathroom

Does anyone else find it odd that a 21 yr old would leave their phone at home on a night out? Police found her phone at her residence. I'm also wondering if the lip gloss (along with the screw driver and claw hammer) they found was the type she uses.

Has anyone found a news article that gives any additional info on the tools found near where she was last seen?

Think it was quoted last week that she rarely took her phone out with her on nights out..Maybe she felt she didn't need to. She was out with a group, assumed she would be with them all night and probably wasn't planning on meeting anyone else.

Think the lip gloss and other items were ruled out early on and were part of another investigation.

Unless that was just a smokescreen.

They say the screwdriver and hammer were unconnected, at least. Wouldn't surprise me if they were left there by a prospective burglar to pick up on his rounds. Tools aren't easy to conceal, it'd make sense to maybe have a stash somewhere. So potentially sinster in themselves ,but not related to Libby.

I'm sure they can seize passport even without a charge.

Only if released on police bail though.ll as there would be conditions to that bail.

If they just release him with no bail conditions as in they have nothing and he isn't a suspect then i don't think there could be any restrictions at all.

I didn’t think you could be released on bail if you haven’t been given a charge, otherwise what are you bailed for?

I know when I was at uni, we would sometimes leave our phones at home to stop ourselves being able to drunkly text an ex or a crush!

Very interesting about the questions they’ve asked his neighbours, hadn’t seen that before.

Well spotted.
Libby Squire police use infrared cameras in search as they hold out hope missing student could still be found alive
Interesting questions aren't they? I've copied a bit here:

Detectives returned to the street yesterday to quiz neighbours once more.

A source said: "All residents were given a form with seven questions on to complete.

"It asked where they were the night Libby went missing, if they know her, had they seen any suspicious activity in the street before the arrest and had they ever noticed the car before.

"It also asked if they knew anyone who lives at the number where Relowicz lives."

Good catch, those questions are very interesting.

Are they trying to place LS at his address previously?

Are they indicating someone else lives at the address (illegally/ sublet etc) who might have access to the car?

Are they looking for suspicious activity post LS disappearance as they don’t have any other evidence of any?

‘Asked if they knew anyone who lived where he lives ?’ Almost like thinking there’s someone else then at address ....

Tools & lipgloss were ruled out very early on.

As for the phone - if, like one of my daughters she has an expensive phone (maybe new one) that's worth the best part of a grand and doesn't fancy dropping it and it getting smashed or lost/stolen then she'd leave it at home ...

Sure you can but only for a certain period of time.

Did we ever clarify if his house is 4 or 2 bedrooms , first someone thought 4 , then someone said 2 , if it on an estate agents letting website anywhere in the past ?

I don't find it AT ALL odd that PRs wife isn't defending him publicly in the press!

I think it's more unusual and stupid that his sister who lives in Norway and his mother in Poland HAVE spoken to the press ...

I can totally see why she left her phone at home. She was expecting to be with her housemates for the entire night would have thought she wouldn't have needed it.
