This. When I was in (over 20 yrs ago!), this is how an unexplained absence was handled. Nobody wanted to hand out severe punishment to a GI who simply overslept, was hungover, etc.. Though I was assigned to a hospital, so things were pretty laid back.

I can't understand why JB would do that to her. What does it prove? It seems like he just wanted to be mean to her as she pressed charges on "his girl". Ugh!!

I just have to say WHAT a day!!! I was effectively rendered speechless - only after I yelled at my laptop during JB's opening statement - something to the effect of: "OMG, they've just driven the bus over half the state of Florida!" I was tempted to call my dear friend who lives in that state...
