Since this case still appears old and cold, there’s a missing person from the opposite coast of Florida (about a 5 hour drive). She is Cynthia Woodard who went missing 2/1/1979 from Fort Myers Beach FL. She was age 22. She had previous injuries from an auto accident, but nothing found regarding...

I’ve noticed how they often even on sites like NAMUS use a photo so old it would bear resemblance to the person when going missing - makes a sad thing even sadder to think they haven’t seen the person in a long time themselves before missing.

I have zero inside info on this case or the accident. I do have experience with being involved in more than one car accident though and can tell you that the accident reports are rarely 100% accurate. LE are often dealing with insufficient time to fully document/verify the details, rushing...

Might be overstating the obvious but his appearance (to me) is quite different than the initial photo circulated.

I remember some local discussion that LM may have received a sports car from the prime suspect to forget what he saw or something to that affect... always wondered if that was true or just local gossip. Really amazing that Stanford got off and always wondered about the elderly lady who was...

Not trying to drag this out further... but "if" there were truly narcotics in the backpack, would LE have given that to the father? At this point in time I think LE should come out and clarify what was actually there to put this to rest because if it was not what the news media portrayed...

FL FL - Kingfish Boat Ramp Murders, Holmes Beach, 1 Aug 1980

Digging a little deeper it seems that Candy Mossler checked into the Fontainebleau Hotel in 1976 (where Barrios worked) and was found dead of an overdose the next day in her room. So... who really knows, perhaps Barrios had seen something related to her death at the hotel but as far as I could...

FL FL - Kingfish Boat Ramp Murders, Holmes Beach, 1 Aug 1980

Interesting given that the Mossler case was from around 1966; in my opinion that would be a stretch to think someone waited until 1980 to seek revenge but you never know. Might be interesting to find out if any other trial witnesses for the prosecution met similar fates... (they probably did not...

I do not know any more than has been posted on the thread but early on if I recall correctly the mother had made a statement to the news to the affect that they didn’t expect him home that soon (I interpreted as meaning on that particular day). It should still be on previous posts. If I was...
