Found Deceased NY - Avonte Oquendo, 14, Long Island City, 4 Oct 2013

Social media is buzzing that he was spotted on a train... I keep hitting refresh on my phone to see if it is true. I hope it is! Not quoting because you can't quote FB right?

I'm not sure if this was already posted, but all MTA track work has been suspended and employees are searching instead of fixing. Media interest is still very high. I see his face on posters all over Queens and on subway stops. IMO and that of my DH who used to teach autistic children, it is...

It is incredibly scary. It's not warm out here, and the fact that no one has come forward with info (publicly at least) is telling. I pray for his safe return, but it is not sitting right with me. I really can't stress enough how much media is covering this. My students who don't traditionally...

I feel like everyone in Queens knows about this case and fliers are everywhere. Cops gave been doing searches on trains 24/7. Some coworkers of mine are personally searching as well.

Knowing the area, it makes sense he hopped on a train. As a student, the city gives student metro cards so he did not necessarily need money. Hunters Point is a seedy area at night.. A known place to pick up "women of the night". I hope he got on a train and is not roaming the neighborhood...

Was the willingness to talk to his parents gone once they had police search him though? As a teacher dealing with troubled youth (NOT saying Bryce is troubled per say), I have seen teenagers act out against authority figures or parents when they feel they are being examined closely or being...

I am fairly new to this case, but just wondering if he is familiar with technology and search status, could it be possible he is trolling and posting or calling in fake sightings to throw people off? Just a random thought and MOO.
