I’m confused by this. Is the theory that Aniah went with Yazeed voluntarily at the outset? Otherwise why wouldn’t she have gotten out of the car when they went to the other gas station? And it sounds like she was driving at that point too.
No. The spa is in a shopping center called The Summit, which is in the city of Birmingham. She lived in (and was allegedly abducted from) the city of Hoover (which is a suburb of Birmingham), and the Hoover PD has been heading up the investigation.
I agree that there seems to be some gaps in the timeline. She got off work at 8:20 then went to Taziki’s at the Colonnade, which is only 10 or so minutes away from where she works at the Summit. Taziki’s closes at 9 and that location is unlikely to have been busy that late on a Thursday night...
Paul was charged with one felony count of BUI causing death and two felony counts of BUI causing great bodily injury. It is not correct to state that he was not charged in connection with Mallory Beach’s death.
Man charged in fatal boat crash that killed Mallory Beach
I don't know, but his son was criminally charged in Mallory Beach's death, and there is nothing but rumor connecting him to the death of the housekeeper. I suspect most of the money was spent on their fairly lavish lifestyle, his opioid addiction, and what have to be quite significant attorneys...
My point is that Nancy's commentary is incorrect. Both Murdaugh and the firm said he resigned. Again, I'm sure the firm would have taken steps to separate Murdaugh had he not agreed to resign, but he did agree to resign, so they didn't have to do that.
Both the firm's and Murdaugh's public statements say that Murdaugh resigned, so I'm not sure what her point is. Obviously I'm sure the firm would have taken action against Murdaugh (under whatever process is provided under its partnership agreement) to force him out, but technically, it sounds...
I'm curious about the timing of the potential civil suit by Connor Cook. Even if he's correct that law enforcement was improperly influenced/involved in a conspiracy to make it appear that Connor might have been the one driving the boat, why would be bring this action now? I could see him...
Where did you see that the police were called at 2:45? I see at the link above that the police contacted the coast guard at 2:49, but not sure when the police were called. In any event, the most likely scenario is that this little boy was pulled out by a rip current. We have vacationed just...
It is likely the party hosts were "dropped" from the lawsuit because they settled out of court. There were several other defendants also "dropped" from the suit, likely due to settlements. Also, it is highly unlikely that there was some plan to add Paul as a defendant later. They would have...
I read the deposition excerpts from the civil case that were linked further upthread. According to Morgan Doughty's deposition, only three of the boat passengers (Mallory Beach, her boyfriend Anthony Cook, and Paul) were thrown from the boat. The other three stayed in the boat. This isn't...
Yes, I think that's correct. The state can't criminally prosecute a dead person. But the civil suit for money damages against AM or even Paul's estate (not sure who the defendant(s) are in the civil case) can still go forward.
I have college aged kids, and our experience has been that the apartment complexes make them sign a 12 month lease, even though most of the kids go home for the summer. So the kids may live at home during the summer, but still have their apartment at school.
I'm left to wonder if someone was...
