Was Enrique on vacation with his family? The 9900 block looks to be vacation rentals and hotels. Hope they find him safe!!!

I am confused as to whether he was swimming in the ocean or just playing in the area when he disappeared. Wish we had more details.

There is a FB setup for him under his full name. I don't know if it can be posted here. There are answers to some of these questions from family and friends. IMO

Last seen at 11:20 in the water and police aren't called until 2:45? Am I reading that right? Ugh.

Where did you see that the police were called at 2:45? I see at the link above that the police contacted the coast guard at 2:49, but not sure when the police were called. In any event, the most likely scenario is that this little boy was pulled out by a rip current. We have vacationed just west of that area my whole life, and rip currents are common there, and lethal if you don't know what to do (which any six year old wouldn't). The area has been under red flag warnings a lot lately due to rip currents. I hope they find him, but I'm not hopeful for a happy ending here. Such a sad situation.

This is so heartbreaking. Panama City is a couple hours from me so my feed has been full of shares on FB. Also, speaking of how bad the rip currents are, there was an article a couple days ago about a family who didn't know that double red flags means no swimming and the man lost his wife/mother to his kids even though she was a strong swimmer. I wish hotels/condos would provide info on flag meanings and how to spot rip currents and what to do if you end up in one. Of course, for a child this may not matter, but could assist parents.

AFAIK we can point people to it but can't discuss the contents here - but I could be wrong (again).
