I support the death penalty for the worst sexual offenders and murderers; cases where guilt is proven beyond the shadow of a doubt, and where the offender shows no remorse - as we have here with Vincent. I don't want them put in taxpayer funded prisons where they are likely to be kept in...

Well said, Trooper. I only learned today that the sexual assault occurred after Stephanie was unconscious. It's so sad and reductive that I take comfort in the small morsel of information that she was not conscious for the rape...given the enormity of the horror of this crime.

There's plenty of things wrong with the Stanford family as I see it. I'm not excusing any of Vincent's actions, not for one second, but the family background seems tumultuous at best. Deadbeat dad abandons the family, mum moves the family to Europe, somehow things seem to fall apart there so...

Verdict is in: 15 years imprisonment for the sexual assault; life imprisonment for the murder.
