I guess because MM is claiming complete innocence. His claim is that he thought Bella was taken by Children's Services. The bigger question for me is why the state offered a deal to RB at all.

RB has a sweetheart plea deal, and she's still lying through her teeth. To me, that can only mean one thing. She's not an accessory after the fact. She's the killer.

I found this: At the same time, Trumbull County Children Services Executive Director Tim Schaffner told WKBN the agency is working with law enforcement, as it does with any case involving children. “We pretty much follow their lead during a crisis. At times, we may be asked to take...

Okay, but I'm basing my opinion on what how this reads: https://www.ohiobar.org/ForPublic/Resources/LawYouCanUse/Pages/Parents-Have-Rights-When-Deaing-with-Children-Services-Caseworkers.aspx Q: What happens if a complaint is filed against me? A: A hearing must be held within 72...

Oh, I don't know about all of that. IMO, this is a little more than just about the best interests of Rainn because of the trauma of being missing. See, in order for Children's Service to intervene in the way they did once Rainn was found, they had to file a complaint, and they had to back that...

:twocents: I'm not real sure what facts about custody are in dispute, but Brandi spoke of waiting for paperwork and having her children brought to her at her new home. It's my guess, and it's just a guess, that Brandi was working under a voluntary case plan prior to Rainn's...

    Found Alive OH - Rainn Peterson, 2, North Bloomfield, 2 Oct 2015 - #2

IF Brandi had no history of drugs AND her home checked out AND Rainn went missing in the evening, still daylight, dinner hour AND Brandi's story was that she was busy preparing dinner when Rainn went missing AND she called 911 after doing a search around the property AND she knocked on...

Maybe, but I've got a pretty good idea that the Petersons aren't in need of any kind of financial assistance. Just a hunch ;)

Ugh. :steamed: Is it really too much to ask for parents to actually BE parents? It's really not all that hard. Just care about your kids more than you care about yourself, and the rest just sort of falls into place. Ugh!

I agree. I believe that's why we still have no ID. The reconstruction of her may be close, but not close enough. There are so many little girls who have the same shape of face. It would be her eyes and her smile that make her "her." I don't know if there is any way to do that post-mortem :-(

I don't know, audge86. It's JMO, but it seems to me that it would be little things like the red hair elastic and the pierced ears that they would withhold, not something major like her shirt or shoes that could really assist in identifying her. Of course, I'm not LE, so what do I know LOL...

Thank you! Am I reading this right? No shirt, no shoes, no underwear, no jewelry...JUST the leggings and a hair elastic on her body, with a blanket in the bag?

I 100% agree, audge86. I don't think many people realize just how tall 42 inches really is, or how slim 30 pounds would appear on that frame. I grabbed a tape measure after reading your post and was astonished to find that 42 inches from the floor falls just a few inches below my chest!
