UT UT - Washington Co, WhtFem 20-60, UP12137, buried near Gunlock Rd, May'70

Valerie was no longer a missing person. Here is her obituary: https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-arizona-republic-obituary-for-valeri/170504181/ Notice it lists her mother, Vina Reilly. And took place in Arizona. The photos also seem to match pretty well.

UT Truck left at Great Salt Lake by man in 70s. Age 30s/40s. A police officer's grandpa- he's asked me to find some answers, so I'm asking y'all for help

You're thinking of Ellsworth Mielke: Ellsworth Wilson MIELKE I worked with the UT SIAC to get him added to the cold case database. Feel free to send me a private message if you have questions.

UT UT - Frances Shurtleff Sessions, 26, Ogden, 20 May 1946

Per the newspaper articles, he was in California and flew in from California once he heard about the accident.

All of these points were addressed previously in this thread. 1. Correct. He went missing after returning to work, telling his boss he felt ill. 2. His personal vehicle was later found parked at Lagoon. The police traced it back to his house/wife. She explained he had been missing for a...

Interesting. I've noticed every where he is listed deceased at, there is not a date listed and no records attached to verify or confirm it. Obviously, by now at over 100 he's likely deceased, but I think the lack of death records is quite telling.

I wonder how much he needed his glasses. Would his military records mention this? Like what if he lost his glasses while confused during an episode and literally couldn't see where he was going?

Unfortunately I agree. He wasn't feeling well that day. His boss confirmed that. I think an episode was coming on. He left work and perhaps got confused on his way home. His house was in the opposite his truck was found after all. It's possible he looked like an easy target to someone and...

No. There's absolutely NOTHING that shows Ellsworth went back to New York. No records, no burials, no nothing. He had many siblings. Something would've came up. His family wouldn't be opening his missing persons report 75 years later if they suspected that.

The term chauffer back in 1947 was used in the context of transporting goods, not just a personal driver or driving a limousine as we imagine today. As a standalone article, I could see how each would look different, but given all of them together you can see they are referring to the same...

Thank you @bettyboop Sorry for any confusion. No, I am not related to the family in any way. I was just pulling a quote that I saw on the FindAGrave webpage. Whoever wrote that quote is Ellsworth and Helen's granddaughter though.

I see what you're saying. But there are enough errors on that death certificate for a healthy dose of reasonable doubt. Side note: I don't think any of the errors were made INTENTIONALLY or PURPOSELY. Its a bridge too far for me to believe that a 9 month pregnant woman whose husband was...

CORRECTION: Rereading that death certificate, it says the baby was stillborn on September 30th. That is after both his disappearance and the start of the investigation. Ellsworth went missing on August 25th. Police started investigating on Sept 19th. The article dated Sept 20th says the...

That has to be a mix up on the death certificate. He wouldn't have gotten his own name and age incorrect. Plus, the baby was a boy, not a girl. The name Helen (the mother's name) was incorrectly inserted for the name of the baby. Check out the FindAGrave entry...

The Doe Network link and a couple articles mentioned that he had black out spells. I wonder if his family assumed he was having another episode and would come back?
