There is a Facebook page titled "Healing for Jayme Closs" that appears legitimate on its face. It makes reference to "Donations to the Closs family account at Sterling Bank can be sent to P.O. Box 70, 234 E. LaSalle Ave., Barron, Wisconsin, 54812." and also a 🤬🤬🤬 site. I would be extremely wary...
They'll not be moving to another state. The most they can hope for is a change of county within the state of Wisconsin. Though JTP has given an incriminating statement that amounts to a confession, he still needs to receive "due process" under the criminal law of Wisconsin.
Customarily, relatives of the victim sit behind the prosecutors and relatives of the defendant sit behind the defendant & his attorneys. Since JTP wasn't in the courtroom, it may not have been apparent where to sit prior to the beginning. No doubt seating was at a premium in that facility.
Perhaps the experience of his older brother meeting a minor online and the resulting criminal charges steered JTP into avoidance of social media.
On another note, JTP's father seems authentically contrite, and offering a private note rather than any public statement evidences humility &...
It is part of DS's narrative reporting the finding of KR. LE has verified little if any evidence in this case, for which they are to be commended. If DS's public story is found to be bogus, that would be interesting.
We just need ballistic information redacted from the autopsies to see if different weapons were used. The W's would plan this for multiple shooters and simultaneous entry where feasible. Suppressors affect the sighting and handling of a weapon, so exact placement might be a problem - hence...
It is "the dogs that didn't bark" clue. LM said that whoever did this was known to the dogs, because they would have attacked strangers. Shooting the dogs would have covered up the fact that the W's were not strangers to the dogs.
I recall a minister claiming that the W's wept when a dog had died. I wonder if their animal sympathies will get then in trouble: it would have been better for them to shoot the dogs even if it wasn't necessary.
Using a suppressor often blocks the front sight on a pistol. The shooter might compensate by firing multiple rounds to be certain of inflicting a fatal wound.
Shotguns need to have barrels about 19" long, even combat guns. It can be done, but not readily: it displays some planning. Letting it happen in front of you? I don't know about that.
This is an unusual fact pattern. Only 1/3 of females use a firarm in an attempt, and a shotgun is not an easy weapon to discharge at one's own chest - especially if someone is with you, even though you've gone off into the woods for....privacy?
It is possible the term "witness" is being used for contacts made during the investigation. There are many details missing here, and whatever has been made public raises more questions.
