I think JR was making calls during the time he was missing. One of his cell phones wasn’t recovered and there were no records. I believed the governors office called him a couple times before the body was found.

But they didn’t talk to the cops and tell them everything. Just gave them information when she was supposedly kidnapped. They gave no information to help find the murderer. Because they knew he wasn’t out there.
