 the imo constant over-usage, as always with the term "Sociopath".

I agreed with a few posts that used Sociopath in them, however, I more think self-serving fits. Like I said before, she did what she wanted to do, when she wanted to do it without a care for consequences. That is how I read the whole article. She left school, was a mother hen to her brother, moved in with SB's family, broke the rules, got defiant, married him, things got hard and when the going got tough... moved back in with SB's step mother, took off in her car after everyone was in bed to go? Leaving her child there unsupervised since no one knew she had gone. Finally met JI, who IMO she viewed as someone stable for her, job, house, etc. Had a baby with him but seemed to continue her partying ways. I really wonder if JI ever had a problem with that? I really wonder if there were arguements over this considering their financial situation? :dunno:

I do know though that with the ever changing stories and the above article I don't see her as someone who faces life head on and takes charge of her own situations. It seems she runs from person to person to "take care of her", enabling her to do as she wishes.

JMVHO!

Throw away I deserve it - I had the perfect opportunity to demand "link" right there and missed it....drat and double drat.

It's not all bad though because I was one of the ones who said the article was helping keep me ON the fence and you missed it. Oh the iorny.

Trying to figure out if you and mountain_kat love or hate each other....

WSer: "I think that's a bag of flies.
MK: "It's not a colander?"
WSer: "I don't know, it might be."

( I know, completely off topic, but it's a slow news day and I needed a laugh.)

I didn't make a statement about who is at fault and I'm not going to, it is imo equally sad whoever is at fault. The article makes it sound like no one is really making an effort to keep in touch so maybe they all are? It sounds like the father has some serious issues from the war; who is at fault for that?

Whats the grandparents reason for not being a grandparent to the child? No matter what issues I had with the parent nothing I mean nothing would stop me from having a relationship with my grandson.

No, I'm remembering correctly, I went to check.

This is what began the discussion and it was over whether or not she could drive.

Your post #259
"It's a much more logical conclusion - based on the KNOWN FACTS and events of the night - that db did not drive or have a car she could drive that night."

family sources say there is a four hour window for abduction - Page 11 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

So now we can at least come to a logical conclusion that she could indeed drive.

<modsnip>
I don't recall ever saying she's not capable of driving (eg. never learned, is blind, has missing limbs and no prosthetics, etc.)

I said she did not drive, say, for example, because her license was suspended and she chooses not to drive on a suspended license.

SOP would be to videotape or at a minimum audio tape. It's unusual when they don't. I can't imagine under any circumstances under which they would be "leaked." Police would not leak them. If charges were filed, then the suspect's attorney could "leak" them but then that attorney could face an issue with the judge in the case because could be see as prejudicing potential jurors. Typically in Missouri, those tapes will not become public unless there is a trial or the suspect pleads. These tapes are not subject to the Missouri Open-Records law, assuming there is video or audio. Hope this helps.

I agree, DeAnn. These audio/video tapes are part of the investigation and the public will not see or hear them unless there is a trial and points need to be made by either the prosecution or the defense in court from them. And even then, the tapes might not be admissible in court. The video from the media with all of the conflicting statements might be admissible. IMO, JMO!

I would give anything to see/hear all of the LE interviews, but it just isn't going to happen, IMO.

LE has not asked them to do interviews without legal counsel. I've read all the statements released by LE. I've read all the statements released by DB, JI and their counsel. Again, LE is asking them to answer follow up questions WITH counsel, but individual interviews. Nothing wrong with asking them to do this, but why won't DB and JI cooperate? At least attempt to go, even if they plead the 5th? Why won't they allow their children to be interviewed again? They agreed, then pulled the plug.

:deadhorse:

Can you provide a link that says LE is not opposed to them having counsel? I have read many things too and can't find that anywhere. I have looked as I would love to have this question cleared up in my head. TIA :seeya:

Maybe she has tried and been rebuffed. According to the article she was basically ignored at the wedding and she is the step-grandmother too. Not many rights for grandparents- especially if you're a step-grandparent! IMO

The family mostly speaks of Baby Lisa in past tense which bothers me a lot. IMHO his last sentence, tell people to keep looking -- has he looked any at all?

Yes, he has. He does. He continued to look even this past weekend. There was a search involving the grandparents at 53rd Street.

This is a prop up interview to "humanize" DB and her host of insecurities and problems.

What's wrong with a family to want to humanize the mother of a missing baby girl? Especially amid a climate where that mother has been vilified, pilloried and accused of killing her daughter and paying someone to hide the body.

DB's baby is missing and they are ALL AWOL.

Respectfully, this is not true.

? Where was DB's lil brother in all this running around?

The article says she married SB - where was the brother - she moved somewhere - then back with SB's mother - where was the brother?

Why is the phrase "mother hen" involved in the title - who was she mother hen to??

Not your answer, but when I see the word 'unrestricted' I think no attorneys...no hold barred. jmo

Police spokesman Young responded that the last time the couple consented to an “unrestricted” interview was Oct. 8.

“What we need from them, and what we are not getting, is for them to sit down with our detectives and get answers to the questions we need answered,” Young said.

You are so right. There only needs to be reasonable doubt planted, as we all recently witnessed in Orland. Other examples; (If the glove doesn't fit), (GA ended up being the fall guy for the accidentally pool drowning) and who knows how the Conrad trial will turn out. Possibly (Mj would have gotten his cookies and milk, no matter who his doctor was), only this time, there were no cookies. Okay I just made that last one with Conrad up and it sounds really stupid, but ya get my point. If we can't agree on hardly anything on this message board together, can't you just imagine a jury trying to sort it out. :banghead:

A jury would be presented with much more evidence than we've gotten so far. Just saying.

Trying to figure out if you and mountain_kat love or hate each other....

I think we just love to hate each other.

In truth, M_K is one of the posters I most respect (and fear when debating a point) around here in terms of the amount of sheer attention to detail she pays AND to backing up her points with reliable links and sources and she is not afraid to admit it on the very rare occasions she is wrong.

Oh yeah and I should add she's also responsible for many a coffee spew in my house and just as soon as I find out where she lives I'll be sending her a bill to replace my monitor.

Just questioning on if lieing to the media is not illegal, how would this be evidence? Now lieing to LE - definitely illegal. I am just not understanding how this would be considered evidence by the court of law.

(Also...I do not know how to graciously accept a compliment. I kinda feel like I just walked into my high school reunion in my underoos. So...thanks for that.) :blushing:

are you referring to the grand jury? if so, fwiw, I just reread on the friday the grand jury transcripts for the sandra cantu case/true bill for melissa huckaby. They can and do use media statements, interviews to weigh their decision at least in California they do...

As an investigative tool, imhoo, the grand jury can see the interviews and conflicting statements (and all footage has been subpoenaed) and use them in consideration.

I said that that was what started the discussion. If you had gone just a little further into the discussion, to your comment # 278, when you were trying to clarify what you meant:
"It is not a known fact that DB could drive."

So I'll stand by my comment about it and move on.

One thing that we can at least say with certainty, that as far as her being able to drive, it is a known fact that she could drive.
