‘Humiliated’ sex offenders sue after Georgia sheriff puts no trick or treat signs up at their homes

If they “pose no risk to children” why would they be on the registry to begin with.
I’d like to know what the three offenders were on the registry for.
I do think there is the occasional person on the list that doesn’t belong there. Maybe they peed in a public place or slept with a girl who lied about her age. My guess would be that if the sheriff only chose three he did it for a reason.
If you look back through the thread, I posted what they did without naming each offender.

You know what else I don't understand, I thought these freaks were not to be around where children are, especially by schools. I, along with many others know this is not true. There is one who lives right across from the Jr. High, and another one across from the park which connects to the Grade school. There's one across the street about 4 houses down. Their presence is enough evidence for me.
@grammieto5 Look at this article:mad: Just one example of how the laws are NOT in place to protect KIDS:mad:

HOMESTEAD SEX OFFENDERS: Parents concerned about registered sex offenders living near 2 schools, park

There are concerns about registered sex offenders who live in a home near two local schools and a park.

The house sits on East 11th Avenue in Homestead and there are two schools just a block away in each direction.

That's something Homestead Mayor Betty Esper said she's spent years trying to fix.

"We tried to do something about it but the law wasn't there to help us," Esper said.

This is so disgusting. Maybe our prisons wouldn't be so full if they would release all the old ladies in prison who truly did kill in self defense . OR all those people who have been sitting in prison for smoking weed back in the 60's.

I like full prisons. It's why crime is close to the lowest it's been in decades.

Not disagreeing with @Gardenista You are right about the crime being low. However, there must be safeguards in place to keep these offenders away from schools, parks, etc. If we have no room in the prisons, not enough funding, whatever the reasoning, I believe more can & should be done. MOO

I like full prisons too, but let's fill them up with the worst, there's nothing worse then these freaks.

That is sickening!
I’m so tired of hearing about how the prisons are over crowded....that is a sorry excuse IMO. These people need to be locked up for life. NO AMOUNT of monitoring them will resolve the issue. If one of them cuts off their ankle monitor, it still gives them enough time to grab a kid & harm/murder them before the cops find them! MOO
They should be hobbled rather than an ankle bracelet.

Feed these monsters to general population. CCTV keeps going down for some reason, guards all getting called away to deal with a fight in the courtyard, if u get what I am saying.

They're everywhere. All laws different with each State. By schools. Internet access. They can drive where they want so the addy really don't help 100%. They are in public libraries. I
End game they do what they want anyway if they think they can get away with it.

Humiliated? Sue? Of course they will over such a thing.

Sad. Sad. Sad. It's up to us to be hypervigilant. Keep your head on a swivel.

Humiliated? They should think "we're lucky" because in many other countries they would be locked up for the rest of their life...

Well isn't this nice. Another sex offender released in my neighborhood. Another freak with more rights then his victims, the right to not be humiliated. I'd like the right to go into this scums home, shoot and kill him, and then say, opps! I thought I was in my own home. This freak was convicted of destroying three innocent lives, spent 16 years being protected, and now has been released to destroy as many more lieves as he wants.
