what is your opinion please?
Not op , but I have been listening, and I think the podcaster is extremely biased. She does the exact thing she says the other side is doing….minimizing their experts and only hearing what affirms her views. For example she many times refers to ‘the mildly questionable ‘ social worker who has child abuse allegations and a firing for that in her past!

Her own sister was investigated, but no abuse was found and there were no charges. So…

BREAKING: In a stunning decision, Florida 2nd DCA reverses $208 million damages awarded to family of @MayaKowalski1 in the case made famous by the @netflix doc Take Care of Maya @Caitkeating @allchildrens

Good! A LOT was left out of the documentary, like the blog of her mother speaking as if she were Maya etc.

The Podcast, Nobody Should Believe Me season 3 covered everything that wasn't included in the documentary.

A lot of these documentaries are very one sided

I honestly have not followed all the podcasts etc. since the original verdict. I was troubled by the verdict and the size of it and concerned about the parents' participation in all of this.Maya is a very sympathetic plaintiff but I think the verdict failed in many ways. I for one am not surprised at this reversal. I have never trusted the dad and don't know what they have been up to since the verdict. I am guessing some sort of out of court settlement will be reached but never to the amounts from the original settlement. i can't imagine putting herself thru this again.

I remember watching. at some points of the trial and cringing as she was put thru this...I believe she was a minor at the time. It was that dad driving the bus for $$. They will still get some in a settlement but I could not watch a full trial again.

I'm so pleased! That grifting munchy family, their whole legal team and that extremely biased and legally incompetent judge all needed a reality check!

I never watched the Netflix documentary or any other documentary. I flitted in and out of the trial but never really followed it closely. I just remember that the Kowalskis were holding the hospital responsible for the mother's suicide and I was shocked by that. I couldn't believe that was allowed.

After reading the summary of the facts provided in the reversal opinion it seems like the verdict was completely outrageous given what happened here. But the social worker and the nurses who were speaking that way to a 10 yo need to be fired and never hold those positions again! Wow. Even if they believed that the mother was abusing the child, why are they berating the child? The hospital should pay to settle and end this.

Do we have an eye roll emoji? The hospital saved her life.
