I am sure LE told them not too. Just like they told the families not to speak to each other.

I hope and believe you would question the person that was with your child, grandchild and greatchild? You would abide by what the LE said...and believe me thay didn't tell them to not talk to Misty. And I bet you certainly wouldn't marry them...

smelly in denmark again.

I asked downstairs, but ......

SYKES: We always thought it was somebody that had either followed Haleigh, if it was somebody who had seen her and followed her home, because of where they lived.

Where exactly was Haleigh wandering around that someone would follow her home? Why would a person follow her home "because of where they lived" if their intent was to take her.

It doesn't make sense to me.

GGMA floundered through the whole interview...

  • #105
And RC said again he has no idea how things got so mixed up...???

He himself is the one who mixed it up. He told the media they were alseep in his bed one day and two days later changed it up and said she was three feet away....did you catch the head shaking and puzzlement on his face tonight on NG...OMG!

Roll the tape, please!

Personally...I'm sick of all the lies.
Who do any of them think they are fooling?
RC, TN, GGMS, MC... IMHO...They ALL know what happened to Haleigh.
And in my opinion....This whole abduction scenario was fabricated to save RON C from going under..
NOW..They are ALL in deep deep water, desperately floundering to stay afloat..JMO

Great show as always~ Misty needs to be clear and concise here. I sure hope the Putnam County PD has someone who is a credible witness state Misty's whereabouts that night. It would be great if they could get her on child endangerment and go from there....

It's been 6 months, last time they said anything they said they had no one that saw her out that night and apparently there is still no one that saw her out that night.

Maybe they don't have witnesses but they said there was physical evidence that contradicted her story. What kind of evidence could place her somewhere else? Cell pings? Security cam pictures of her or her vehicle? What else?

HI Debs. I think GGS made this statement in relation to the 44 sex offenders that live in the 5 mile radius of Haleigh's home. And I am sure there are countless others that are of questionable character that come to visit the SO's in their home so, go figure. Everyone says that Haleigh was shy but I posted a quote from the Landlord of RC's trailer, P Bard, at one time and what she said about Haleigh. I will go find the link to the article that the journalist ran but in it the Bards said that Haleigh was a very friendly child. P Bard would hang laundry out on the clothesline and Haleigh would run up and talk to her while she hung the clothes. She said Haleigh was for all appearance purposes happy.

Snipped for space, taken from above article:She's an adorable little girl," says Phyllis. "Just adorable. She would come over when I was hanging clothes on the line, and I would see the two of them out in the yard playing and she's just, what can I say, a beautiful, adorable little girl. It just breaks my heart that all this has happened."

So any sex offender that had eyes and drove through that neighborhood could have saw Haleigh at any time. I am not saying this happened I am just providing a reason that GGS might have said what she said.

How do you know they didn't tell them not to talk about the case with Misty?
If LE ask me not to discuss the case with the person I lived with because it might taint her memory or whatever, you bet I wouldn't talk to them. I think Misty was asleep and doesnt know what happened after 10, so until I can see evidence to prove otherwise I believe she knows nothing more than what she's told them.

also, I forgot to add this. The Bards, rented a lot of their residences to sex offenders. I am not trying to implicate them in a anyway but if RC had any idea whatsoever that his home might have been lived in by a SO then that would be a good explanation as to why he changed the locks and also why he wouldn't go back into the home after LE released the trailer. Or why a family member might suspect that a SO might have been watching Haleigh.

What the pink shirt? dvd? door unlocked that was supposedly locked?

Well if that is what is holding up PCSO from furthering their case they need to let the FBI take over. She doesn't have a vehicle, Ron had it at work that night. So someone would have had to have driven her wherever and no one has come forward, per LE, to say she was anywhere but home.

And if Misty was out of the home.....or sleeping that night......and one of the SO's living in the area knew this. Well, you know that is just one theory.

Wouldn't cell phone pings and video surveillance be considered forensic evidence?

Hmm...I wonder if the mobile home park and the closest convenience store have video surveillance. I recall in the S.Cantu case the MH park had a surveillance camera. You would think the owners would have one knowing how many RSO they rented to. Maybe that is some of what LE has? Just a though to add to all the above as well.

I think it is safe to assume that a convenience store has video camera's especially if they sell gas. If I remember correctly, LE said they had proof that RC was at the convenience store after he left work on the night Haleigh disappeared. So perhaps there is a chance they have video of it. I thought they mentioned something about cell pings placing him at the store and also his job that night. Another confirmation came for me last night while watching NG.....Misty said that she went back into the bedroom to get her cell phone to call RC......so LE must have looked into her pings as well, but we have heard nothing as to whether they confirm or deny her story about where she was.

ETA....I am of the opinion that LE could not learn anything from her cell pings, because in my honest opinion, if they could see she was not pinging off the tower closest to home then she would have been picked up and brought in by now because that would mean they found a lie.....right or no?

It's a good point about LE possibly asking them not to talk. But I think they might have at some point said so to explain the disinterestedness that total lack of conversation about the night your child went missing might have given some the impression of. (Please, someone fix that sentence.) "I don't know, we can't discuss the case because John Merchant asked us not to."

For now, I have to believe LE's interpretation of the interrogations and the evidence because they have examined the evidence and heard what Misty said and I haven't. If, based on this information, they came to the conclusion she was not telling them the whole truth I would take them at their word because I have no evidence that they're mistaken and she's telling the truth. I have witnessed some of her changing stories myself so it's not a hard sell for me.
