Who was Jodi looking at when she answered the questions today? Did she look directly at the jury the whole time?

I liked the progression of events anagrammy posted. But I think this was the last straw before the plan began.

Wasn't that message 5/26? Then boom, gun stolen 5/28 and then, 5 days later, she's on the road.

I will have to look up her posts as I may have missed that one. I just could not keep up today and know I missed a lot of posts.

As far as the timeline, I think I figured out he was dead within about a week of his texts to her, that also said she was the worst thing that ever happened to him. I truly think this exchange was the trigger...the kind of reality check that would send someone like her into a vengeful rage. :moo:

like the one in my town. It has paintings by many famous artists and MANY professionals employed to manage the collection and exhibits. No one can just hang a picture on the wall for a friend or because they like it. Ridiculous.

This was crazy! My small and miniscule input is in regards to her delusion that someone would put her pitiful artwork up next to a VanGogh etc...

I owned an art gallery for over 10 yrs, never had VanGogh, Cezanne, etc but did have fantastic artists from the former Soviet Union, etc. I would not put up her art unless I was having an amatuer hour which included velvet paintings of Elvis and 10th grade pencil sketches.(Actually my 10th grade sketches from refugees were were pretty fantastic!)
I have done restoration on incredible art from around the world and I have to say that her skill level reminds me of what I did in 4th grade....just sayin'

The lowest muzzle velocity for a .25 ACP I could find is about 760 fps, which is still transsonic. Just by way of comparison, a .45 is about 900 fps and the Carcano rounds that killed Kennedy were nearly 2,500 fps.

A gun makes a crack. Partly that is the muzzle velocity, partly the gas expansion of the gunpowder. I've always assumed the loudest component is the muzzle crack as air gets seriously out of the way of the bullet leaving the muzzle.

However, all firearms are really freaking loud. Even a silencer can only make a larger round sound like a smaller round like a .22, which itself has a surprisingly loud crack.

From watching movies people may think the sound of a gunshot is a lot more "throaty" than it really is. The sound is very difficult to reproduce because, at close range, you not only hear it, you can feel it. Even when you know it's coming, it can make you flinch.

One of my pet peeves is films like Terminator 2 where people are firing handguns and shotguns in a closed elevator and their total hearing loss for the rest of the movie is never addressed. They would be saying "Huh, what?" as the only dialogue for the duration.

You know how loud a .25 would be in a closed space like a bathroom without ear protection?

Shockingly loud.

I don't know about "the fog", but I can bet Jodi's ears were ringing well into her tossing the gun in the desert.

P.S. No guy would own a little .25 as a backup weapon, much less the first gun they ever bought. Useless for defense, no fun to shoot and I can't imagine a beefy kind of guy like Travis picking up a vest pocket pimp gun and saying "this just feels right in my hand".

Nonsense.

I thought about the sound of the gun in the bathroom also being especially loud because of the tiled floor and walls. I am so surprised none of the neighbors didn't hear a gun shot!

I love the victim-blaming from Jodi as I'm reviewing today's testimony. She's basically saying because Travis made her "feel good," because she implies as a victim she was addicted to this and needed his approval (I'm sure the DV expert will testify to this), he was thereafter responsible for her feelings.

Dr. Drew said the whole near death experience video is on HLN.com but I only see a snippet of it. Does anyone know if its available in full? TIA

So I thought the questions about her relationship with her parents were interesting.
Strained.

Jurors may want to know they aren't going to make her parents suffer by imposing the Death Sentence. Her answers that she wasn't all that close to them clears the way, IMO. Whether Jodi loves her parents unconditionally is not even what they asked. It's all about her again.

Who was Jodi looking at when she answered the questions today? Did she look directly at the jury the whole time?

She would look towards the jury when she was answering the questions ...

:waitasec: Oh yeah, through all that FOG !

Omg I'm jealous! Lol. Seriously, I've seen the Monet exhibit when it came to the NOLA Museum of Art - JA you need to up your script or double your dose of meds. Whatever makes you think you can hang with Monet.

We're laughing about this but really, how sick is this woman? How could she have said this today in answer to the jury's question? That she actually thought her artwork would be placed beside a Monet or a Van Gogh? If I wasn't convinced of her warped view of events before, I certainly would be after a response like that. A six-year old child would know better. That was beyond ridiculous.

moo

Well, if you want to convince the jury that you really r a nut job and delusional that would be a good answer. :rollercoaster:

see, if you'd just let those little things go, there's be no reason to kill you. But getting mad like that naturally puts the poor shooter in fear for their life so you gotta go.

Well, it usually really pisses me off when people shoot me in the head.

Brownie points for the first person that can find the video where Juan is asking Jodi "Did you cry while you were stabbing him? Did you cry while you slit his throat?"

Juror thinks she said "No" to one of the questions and she insists she said "I don't know." I want to replay this.

No, she answered "I don't remember" twice and "I don't know" for the last question. [Jodi Arias In Court] :: Were you crying when you cut his throat' Jodi Arias finally breaks down - YouTube

Sorry if this has already been asked....but...

WHO is the babysitter?
WHO is Gus?
WHERE is John Dixon's Art Gallery??

Thanks!

JA made up a story about her supposed belief that TA was taking a friend's babysitter to Cancun.

Gus Searcy, the one and only mentor to Jodi Ann Arias, would-be PPL wunderkind, is a legend in his own mind.

John Dixon lived in San Diego, IIRC.
