The 'gun on the shelf' story is preposterous. Travis's sister is a police woman - wouldn't she know if Travis had a gun? Also, I seem to remember JA stating under direct that she moved the seat (bench) from the center of the closet to the shelf in order to reach the top while she was 'cleaning' and discovered the gun. Doesn't look like she is tall enough to reach that top shelf by just standing on the bottom shelf. I wonder if JM tested her story with specific measurements, etc.

I also believe JA conned Travis into allowing her to clean his house so that she could snoop through all of his personal property. Poor Travis went along with it cuz he felt sorry for her and tried to help her out financially. He was soooo trusting!

I thought someone here had an intriguing theory on Jodi becoming Travis' 'dirty little secret'. The idea was that it was because all his friends were open about the fact that they didn't like her (with reason), Travis decided to keep things on the down low. Not for more sinister reasons that the DT would want us to believe.

Now, that sounds believable. Plus, the friends can attest to it.

Probably the truth there.

I have been sad seeing all those autopsy pictures of travis. I found a video on HLN showing a happy and very much alive travis. Its good to remember how much he loved life until some heartless person took that away.

Heres to you travis, and I hope justice will be here for you very soon.

I'm enjoying watching her convict herself with that big lying mouth.

that workman's comp answer was utter bunk (not to mention what she said about the eating establishment! Casa Ramos is a chain! Not some tiny little family owned place!)

http://www.casaramos.net/

they have 13 locations!

Did she say that they didn't have insurance? Or did she just say that they weren't corporate formal type and had her fill out forms?

Wonder what questions the jury will have for the experts as well. It appears that they aren't buying the dv aspect of this, so it will be interesting what types of questions the dv will get. If there are only a few will that mean they don't believe it or if there are a lot like for JA, are they trying to buy the dv aspect.

Kelly

So many questions for JA are because she is the killer plus she was on the stand for so long. imo With the experts I think Juan will sufficiently tear them apart and the jurors will only have a couple questions. jmo

I agree but I don't even think he took her on the down low. He just didn't mix her with his friends. He still saw her in public and they went on trips... that's not a secret in my view. jmo

IIRC, she said they didn't 'do' forms. They were mom and pop soooo. Basically she didn't cut herself at work.

As Nurse posted a bit back, the supposed place she was working at was a chain.

Most places are really careful about Workman Comp. My work, we have 24 hours after the incident to have the employee's forms filled out. Its all onthe computer anyway. Just fill out and submit.

Question: Can JM have an advocate for battered women testify her opinion that JA is not a battered woman and that it's insulting to women who are in fact abused?

BBM! :floorlaugh:LOL! You are right though.... She does seem to sleep a lot. I wonder how her sleep is now? LOL

Peaceful, would be my guess. :banghead:

I think it was during cross that I thought 'this chick has only ever had two speeds in her life - drama and sleep'.

You're very welcome. I know its eerie and whats even worst is how she seems to not even care what he's talking about. And he seems very loving towards her, holding her hand through out the entire story.

Why couldn't JM get that video? The defense has got Travis's friends vid on a shooting range. Then just wanted to show it not let the guy testify because he has been all over tv. ( just like your client Mr N)

If she can continue to make up stories about her victim why shouldn't the victim be brought live into the court in a normal every day life situation.

This gun shooting thing makes no sense because she wasn't the one who got shot! What is it going to prove? That he had a gun just like her GF's??

Good morning.
Does anyone know what time they are live today? 12:30pm EST?

iirc she said they were just a tiny place that didn't have it/use it! (re: workman's comp)

Does anyone know

1- If the jurors are sequestered?

2 - I heard they were only going to have court 2 days next week. Can anyone verify this? Which days will court be in session?

Add to this the fact that her mom and dad owned restaurants - so she knew the drill of Workmen's Comp.

I do not know if this was mentioned before but I heard her say when answering jurors questions that TA was bending in the shower and she was bent down when taking pictures when she dropped the camera, well, can you be body slammed in this position or did he try to grab camera and slipped and fell.

Yeah and this was supposed to be some kind of build up of abuse that finally unleashed...Sounds to me like her parents completely failed to discipline her before this incident - not like she was "abused" in any way shape or form. She basically back-tracked on the whole "I was abused growing up" bit that she started out with at the beginning of trial.

moo

I wouldn't be so sure that she was never disciplined. I have close friends whose daughter is a sociopath and a chronic liar (even about trivial things that make no difference). She was disciplined appropriately and there were multiple therapists while she was growing up. She dropped out of school, steals from strangers, family, friends, lives with one man after another, and works as little as possible. She becomes enraged when anyone contradicts her lies (No you aren't working at that restaurant, I stopped by there and they said you quit three months ago) and looks for a way to 'punish' them. The last time there was a blow up she reported my (female) friend as a pedophile but it went nowhere because it wasn't true and she was unable to get her child to say so. The only reason my friends maintain contact is because of their grandchild (they can't get custody because their daughter fools CPS and the courts). I'm sure they weren't perfect parents but their other children are just fine and I can't see any minor mistakes producing someone like their daughter. I've known them for many years and they are good people and fortunately their grandchild has taken them as role models, not the mother. I think there must be something disordered in her brain. My friends are heartbroken.

There was a call at 8:16 p.m. on June 3 from Jodi to Travis that lasted 2 minutes. She claims this is when she told him that she is coming to Arizona (at his request/guilting). Her phone then went silent for 20 hours.

I do not believe she told him she was coming because that would have given Travis 8 hours to tell someone else that Jodi was coming, and she was very determined to be a ghost in Arizona.

I think she used that call to somehow determine his going to be there for the next 24 hours. She didn't say she was on the way but after she spoke with him she filled up the gas tanks at 8:46, shut off her cell and drove to AZ. She had barely any cash. She wouldn't have spent it (she thinks its not traceable) if she wasn't sure she could drive to his home, do the killing and then get out of AZ to go grind Ryan. :banghead:

Okay, so she does not say that Casa Ramos did not carry Workmans Comp insurance, just that they weren't formal and didn't have her fill out forms.
I work for the largest US employer, if I cut my finger at work and I don't receive medical treatment than I don't have to fill out any sort of form. Does not mean they don't carry Workmans Comp Insurance... just means that I didn't deem my injury bad enough to fill out a report.

ETA: I'm gonna drag myself to the Youtube video to clear my own mind about what she claims...
