After watching the video of Travis describing the gun to his head (the old video)
He uses more emotions, voice rang, and proper hand movements to explain. Unlike JA

  • #1,043
66): Why is it that you have no memory of stabbing Travis?
A: I can't really explain why my mind did what it did. Maybe because it's too horrible, I really don't know why I blacked out or have memory gaps much of the day.

67): Whether you had plans to commit suicide or not, why even mention no jury will ever convict me mark my words, I am innocent in the interview?
A: I was very confident that no jury would convict because I was going to be dead. As far as saying I was innocent, definitely innocent of my charge is what I meant, and also in the next life, where I believe that God is the ultimate judge that he will understand the circumstances of that day and that it would ultimately that he would be, he would know all the circumstances that happened that day, so in that innocent of the charge, but that there wouldn't be a conviction because you don't convict a dead person, I would be in the grave at that point.

Q68: In your interviews you gave on T.V., were you forced to answer all of the questions they asked you?
A: I was not physically forced, but when you're put on the spot if kind of feels like it, Like you kind of, but for some reason I felt like I had to answer every question, but I wasn't forced. If that makes sense.

Q69: You have pictures of your other finger injuries that include time-stamps, do you have any pictures of your finger injury with time-stamps?
A: I guess that would be the left finger? Um I didn't take a specific picture showing the injury, but any picture taken subsequent to June 22nd would show my ring finger bent whether it was like that one in the photo or anywhere else.

Q70: Do you have any pictures of you wearing a finger splint?
A: no, definitely not

Q71: Did anyone see you wearing a finger splint?
A: I wore it one day at, when I was working at Mimi's Cafe, but I don't know if anyone commented it on it or not, so it was kind of embarrassing
M: Objection
J: Sustained

Q72: When did you realize that you had memory loss? The approximate date?
A: Um, if that's a reference to June 4th, um when I'd been pulled over in the car and I began searching around for the water, for the shoes, just trying to clean myself up and that kind of thing, I can attribute it to being maybe, I mean I had memory loss one time when I was 19 because it was alcohol related and one time when I was 15 and it was alcohol related so that's the only other thing I can attribute it to,um just like a black out, so that was when I, shortly thereafter was when I couldn't remember things, certain things, um some things have come back to me since, but just not all of it.

Q73: Did you have an attorney prior to the interview with CBS
A: Um, not for my case, I had an attorney for the limited purpose of assisting me in my extradition
M: Objection
J: Sustained, yes or no?
A: Of sort of, I guess

Q74:You said you got the two gas cans so you that you could fill up in Nevada or Utah where gas was cheaper than California. Why did you fill the gas cans up in Pasadena?
A: Yes, that's why I initially got the gas cans from Daryl, so I could save money, that kind of thing. I'm a coupon clipper, that kind of person, but when I got to southern California and realized I'm taking I-I15 across two and a half states, um I've never driving this before, it's the middle of the night, I'm by myself and I'm in a car that I'm not familiar with, I didn't want to be stuck in the dark somewhere in the desert, I've heard lots of horror stories and I wanted to make sure I wasn't stranded.

75)In all of the three hour church sessions, family home evenings, missionary discussions and other church events, you were never told or were never under the impression that other forms of intercourse, oral and anal, were forbidden?
A: I did get that impression on a few occasions and I discussed it with Travis and he clarified it for me in his way
M: Objection, relevance
J: Sustained, is the answer yes
A: Um, somewhat yes, but it wasn't clear

76) Did you know that Travis did not like John Dixon prior to your date with John Dixon?
A: Prior to my first date with him, no I didn't even know, I don't think he even knew John Dixon, maybe had seen him through Prepaid Legal, but prior to that date, no, and I'm talking about before Travis and I became boyfriend/girlfriend as far as the date that occurred after we broke up, I knew that he didn't care for John Dixon

77)Why were you willing to get involved with two men at the same time?
A: Well, I was trying to get, it was very difficult to break away from Travis, I knew we were going in separate directions but we kept continuing with the same habits that we had and I said before that that I'm monogamous and by that I do mean sexually monogamous for sure, never had more than one partner at the same time in that regard, so as far as Ryan, he was just a potential person that I wanted to get to know and if things had gone further then I definitely would have cut off that sort of contact with Travis.

78)When you were asked about the video you made with Travis having sex on June 4, 2008 you said you used your camera but when you were asked about your camera later, you said you didn't take it out of the car that day. Which of these two is true?
A: For clarification, both is true, both are true. The Canon stayed in the vehicle and my Olympus was tiny and was always in my purse. So, and the Olympus the Stylus 500 and it had video on it, the Canon did not.

79)When you realized that you did not connect as expected, why did you continue to speak to Travis?
A: I think that's a reference to Ehrenberg because we weren't connecting the way we had before. Travis and I connected very well over the phone, it seemed like it was more of an emotional and mental connection, a meeting of minds so to speak, and I was not going to contact him again after three failed attempts over the weekend and then I didn't hear from him. So when he called me Tuesday, and left me a very sweet voice mail, it kinda was a feeling of relief like oh, okay, I wasn't just being used, he still cares, so I called back and he was somewhat remorseful that we had gone that long without talking and we agreed to not do that again. Going that long without communication.

a lot of this sounds like beauty pageant contestant answers...i.e. 79, 72, 67 lol

Wow. -2.5 and -2.25?! and she drove without glasses? I'm crying a big BULLSHEET. I have the same prescription and could not consider driving without some sort of lenses in my eyes.
You can tell that's not her prescription. Looking through the lenses, towards her face, you'd see the difference in the shape of her face. A prescription of +2.00 would make her cheek appeared magnified. A prescription of -2.00 would make her cheek appear to be smaller than it should be. Check it out tomorrow. Looking through these lenses there is no change at all.

Ya, I have thought that from the beginning. She would have had a better chance because self defense is so implausible (and she is a pathological liar). She is crazy though (but not insane) but she'd have a better shot.

I am concerned that she is demonstrating more and more mental illness. Today, in one day, she added grandiosity (my art will hang near Monet...), admitted she thinks she has ADD and her vocal intonation and speed!

If you were a counselor checking off a list of different types of affect, she went from flat to zooming overnight! She says she has a fog during which she kills the man she loves, then memorializes him by lying about her actions "in his honor."

I'm concerned that she will get LWOP instead of the DP she deserves because her behavior is beyond inconsistent--she's starting to sound like "Three Faces of Jodi."

Eh, I wouldn't think too deeply about what a 14 year old says about adult humor and discussion.

I thought the video was somewhat amusing, and I actually did laugh out loud when the "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" question was asked - not because I think the trial is anything to laugh about, but because I was not expecting it at all, and the question struck me as a juror's total frustration at Jodi.

When it's potty humor, like the definition of "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬," I defer to my kids. It's just not funny to me at my age. Under any circumstances for any reason -- especially in a murder trial. That a juror would ask a question like that is a sad commentary on the quality of jurors in Maricopa county, imo. Yes, let's define "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" so we can decide whether to sentence you to death. Seriously??? My point was that even my 14 yo gets that.

It'd be nice if someone thought to ask Gpa what make his .25 was so we could find out if it had a safety or not. JA hasn't mentioned anything about that (and she won't unless 'the' gun is found).

I read that the slide mechanism to chamber the bullet can cut people's hands. Might be interesting if we knew what he had.

The gun is bugging me for some reason. I wish someone would just find the bloody thing.

Ain't gonna happen. During the phone-call with Det. Flores the day after Travis was discovered, when she called to offer help, she said "did you find any weapons".

That was a poke. She knew he didn't because she knew he never would or could. That, as many have pointed out, is her sadistic, evil streak that ENJOYED pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. Or attempting to.

In fairness, I think it depends on the kid. (snipped)

I recognize all kids are different. I would never say to someone that they should have their kid watch this trial.

ATTN EYE DOCTORS IF THERE AR ANY OUT HERE:

My RX in my best eye is -4.25

I can't find my glasses if I take them off. I have to squat/squint/feel around for them.

Q: How bad would her vision be with her stated RX??

If anyone else has same RX as her or close, that will work for an answer..THANKS!

I took my daughter to see eye doc last Friday. Here is a reference: She is a -2.0 and has trouble reading the menus posted above counters at fast food restaurants. She watches tv without her contacts though.

And then she filled the gas cans up at 8:42pm for her drive to Utah :waitasec:

Doesn't make sense does it? I think there was a juror question about this, and Jodi just glossed right over the inconsistency in her stated rationale about the scary desolate highway to Utah. :waitasec::waitasec:

  • #1,051
Well, to be hyper-literal, it is correct as well.

I'm so glad I popped back one more time to see this. Loves me some Lady Edith. M'Lady brings it back. ::curtsy::

  • #1,052
Did we ever figure out where "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" even came from? Was that word used previously in the case? I don't remember it, but it must have been, no? Would a juror just outright ask that? I think that's why it was so shocking. None of us really remember that word being used before today and it could have been worded much more eloquently.

  • #1,053
Before I sign-off for bedtime, here's a thought that crossed my mind randomly that made me giggle...

I've figured out how to prove two contentious points for JA. She was able to reach the gun without causing any disruption in the closet because she was wearing her spidey underwear which gave her spidey powers! It all makes sense to me now! :floorlaugh:

I haven't read up in the thread but evidently that poster is passing judgement on you because your child has watched the trial? For real? Are we back in kindergarden?? (we are way past middleschool with this).

Linda, don't even acknowledge crap like this with an answer. It is ABSOLUTELY noone's business what you do or don't do. Ignore people like this.

It's probably someone left over from the court tv boards that like to do nothing but pick fights. Most of us have grown up some since then but obviously some have not. It's ridiculous, IMO!

Ignore these trolls, Linda. You own noone an explanation of anything. Not even if you wipe your rear end with a frog.

I don't think Karmady is like that at all. Everyday she follows the trial she's never said a peep about inappropriate behavior. I think her belief that my video was mocking TA's murder is what made her feel the need to comment. JMO

Chronically sleep deprived

A few pages back I said Jodi sounded like a Miss America contestant today. She's a real piece of work!

That means she couldn't really see that supposed pic that she says was a
little boy wearing underwear. Destroy an man's entire reputation on faulty info. :furious: The Devil
only knows how she was able to look through a window and spot a bra being resnapped.

Wow how right you are! I needed a laugh after reading all of this and this stuff struck my funny bone after watching All darn day!! Good insight :great::great::seeya: Thank you

Still intermittently reviewing. Lord, her response about her lack of confession because of her shame with regard to violence and the savagery of the crime... As per usual, everything, even the murder of someone else by her hand, is all about her. If anything it eludes to the fact that she understands that the savagery undermines her self defense claim.

Even in a HYPOTHETICAL world where she was abused and she did murder in self defense, her "SHAME" isn't a reason to lie, nor is it an excuse for the family. She really does not understand human emotions on an empathetic level. She is exploiting her defense, to make her an abused victim, hence the emphasis on shame, but she doesn't understand how callous it makes her sound about Travis and his family.

My sister's vision is so awful I asked her what her numbers are she is: -7.25 left eye and -6.50 right eye... She always wears contacts but if she has an issue and needs glasses she wears the glasses in the shower because the fog is better than being without her glasses! I asked her to try and gauge JA's vision impairment but my sister's is so much worse I really can't use her as a comparison so thanks for the reference! Your daughters numbers are much more similar!

I think he was downstairs and had free run of the 1st floor because Jodi put up the dog gate over the stairs before she left. One of the roommate's girlfriends was feeding him because they thought Travis had already left to go to Cancun. think I read that in the police report, but I'm not sure.

Does anybody know if Napoleon is still alive? If so, who is taking care of the sweet pup? :beagle:

Her vision is not horrible, it's way better than mine was pre-Lasik...and way better than yours. BUT, still needed for driving. No way you can read street signs and headlights would be impossible at night. But, was that her Rx then too? I know mine got continually worse, but I started at age 10. :)
