On an illegally taped phone call (at least where I live) Travis made an inappropriate comment about Jodi's overblown climax as sounding like a 12 year old girls first one. I agree that any reference to some 12 year old girls sexuality by a grown man is disturbing. No question about it. I do think you have to put it in context to who the man was and who he was uttering this disturbing comment to however. For all I know, Jodi (who was taping the call to blackmail him later) stated at the onset she had a fantasy where she wanted him to talk to her like she was a naughty schoolgirl right before she hit the record button. So the foolish unsuspecting man did.
Jodi is the only one alleging Travis had any sexual experience prior to meeting up with her. So on the word of a pathological liar,we're to believe that Travis had more lovers than she who lost her virginity at the age of what 15? His family and specifically his brother who likely knows him better than Jodi ever did, was under the impression he was a 30 year old virgin. He was attempting to follow the doctrines of a strict religion where chastity before marriage was expected.
He met up with a woman with no moral compass and no boundaries and he allowed his small head to dictate over his big one. In doing so, he became guilty of a crime committed by maybe 98% of all grown men at one time in their life or another. I can forgive him for that.
As far as his being a pedophile, where is there a shred of evidence of that? Oh and Jodis word doesn't count. She lies about everything including this, her biggest lie to date. What is your evidence to disparage the dead with then?

question for the people here who know:

don't most pedophiles have a sexual preference when it comes to their victims? he was supposedly masturbating to a picture of a boy, and this comment was about a 12 year old girl.

That was her original testimony, however yesterday she said she grabbed one of the shelves with one hand -- probably because her lawyers told her that LE did not collect fingerprints from the shelves, and she knew that her first story was completely implausible.

:banghead: Thanks for the correction, I must have missed that when my husband had the nerve to come in to ask me questions.

I am interested in human nature, in what makes people tick. A jealous lover killing his or her partner is a crime but it is easier to understand. The punishment is there to fit the crime but it is the killers who appear remorseless, who are empty shells that intrigue me. Is there some way society can reach these people as kids, are there signs we can note and try to rehabilitate them as youngsters? Is it a physical abnormality in the brain or a chemical imbalance while en vitro?

I also want to see these types of killers brought to justice early on because at this point (until we understand more about the psychopathy) I believe that this type of killer will kill again.

It's funny because I don't think of this as about a "jealous lover" even though it included some of those elements. I think the entire relationship was about power. I don't really think JA was that into TA until his friends tried to get him to break up with her. Once that happened she was enraged and it was a challenge to her. She wanted to exert control over him and got off on the fact that they all thought she was out of the picture but meanwhile they were secretly together.

I think she became obsessed with the whole scenario. She's still obsessed with it. I don't think she ever cared about him at all, she just wanted to "win."

IMO the thing that made her kill him was him inviting another woman to go to Cancun with him after she thought she was going to be the one that went. Since he was going with the other couple, it was as if she couldn't take them winning on that trip.

She's evil.

I was rewatching some of yesterday's questions and that Spiderman underwear question really threw her. She had a visible physical reaction to that question. Her face turned red and she stumbled for a minute and she looked angry. She was MAD that they caught her in that lie. (Travis saying he wasn't into Spiderman, yet bought her Spiderman undies)

That was one of my favorite parts because her reaction was so visible. Of course, I'm like everyone else and I loved the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and mental illness questions as well. Can't wait to see what happens today.

:what: Jodi said she did not touch the shelf. She ran, stepped on the edge of a lower shelf and grabbed the gun without touching the shelf. :what: if you can believe that, just saying.

I have similar shelving (white) and I need to hold on the the shelf standing on a step stool. :what:

My closet is 16 feet long and I was going to try what she claims she did, but being kind of a "fluffy" lady, I was afraid I would break the lower shelf, or fall on my a$$ & break something.

Alrighty then. Instead of saying I've gained weight over the years, I will just say I've gained "fluff".

"The way you moan, Jodi, sounds like a 12-year-old girl having her first orgasm -- So hot," Alexander said."

it sounds to me like he got off on it.

Remember the Seinfeld "dirty talker" episode? Im not trying to be confrontational or make light of anything when I say this but I think its pretty clear that TA follows the lead of his much more experienced counterpart. He had no idea he was being taped and she lead this conversation where she wanted it to go.

Seinfeld: The panties your mother laid out for you?

Think about it. He didnt know what to make of that crazy woman and just responded how he thought she would expect him too.

PS - agree with the previous poster who brought up Brittany Spears. The naughty schoolgirl thing - strange as we all may find it - is nothing new or particularly alarming until someone applies it literally along with a lie created to destroy a dead man's reputation when he can no longer defend himself.

Something just hit me re the dropping the gun issue. I just had a mental picture of her taking that last photo of him, knowing this was the perfect moment to start her murderous plan, with him exactly as she wanted him sitting In that shower. As she'd imagined it hundreds of times by now and rehearsed it in her mind. I see her then opening her claw and letting that camera roll right out of her hand right in front of him so he could see, discarding it effortlessly and gleefully as she seamlessly grabbed that handy knife, knowing this act of symbolism would disarm and upset him right as she began her choreographed murder scene.

Letting the last thing he saw, other than her evil face was her shrugging, intentionally discarding his new camera with a shrug and a grin then going in for the kill.

In his denial I could see him thinking shed dropped it and having no idea what she was really doing. Hope this is making sense. I think I found the grain of truth to her story .

ITA with what Clue Finder mentioned in their post..

The worst thing a man could be accused of is a Pedo or a Rapist...

Never been accused of either, but to have that mark on you whether you are guilty or innocent of those crimes.....

It's amazing to see how many of the WS members have simular stories...

As I've stated before I was a vicitim of a Jodi like personality who was a complete sociopath she almost did everything to me, like Jodi did to Travis...

Also as a younger child I was molested by a babysitter... I'm 40 now and I still remember it like it happened yesterday..

Those scars dont go away for me, but I havent let it change my outlook on life, I try to remain positive and pay it forward with little things I do everyday.

Good morning. I haven't caught up on posts from last night/this morning but have been wondering about this for a while: Has there been discussion here about whether or not Jodi might have been sexually abused as a child? I didn't start to follow the case in earnest until the trial started but don't recall such discussion. Talking heads seem to focus on Jodi's early physical abuse at the hands of her parents, but I haven't heard anyone address possible sexual abuse. Given Jodi's heightened sexuality, does anyone else think that childhood sexual abuse is a possibility?

I also find it interesting that one of her cleaning "projects" given by Travis was to clean the shelves. Who does that? Well, okay, I do but that is like a spring cleaning sort of thing. I suppose, being meticulous, he asked her to do that. BUT, knowing he had a gun up there-do you think he would have asked her to do that?

Well said! She pulled out the kinky card to reel him back in every time she felt she was losing her kung fu grip on him. Truthfully, he did come off as a little bit inexperienced at the dirty talk thing. Just sayin'.

You know I kinda felt bad for JA mom yesterday! As jodi was was telling the jury that she did not have a good relationship with her mom ! Her mom sat there listening to her ungrateful daughter! It's her
mother who has been there everyday giving of herself to show support! Making sure theres money on her books ! so she could eat better food. But JA has not acknowledged her presence in court day after day!
Instead she JA takes every opportunity to stare down the family of travis or anyone else she doesn't like she fixates her stare on them. Real skerry broad?
I don't like that her mom and aunt laugh in court! Maybe there's something in that family off! As her mom was listening to JA! She was blank!
I also noticed that the aunt had a weird smile smirk at an inappropriate time! As JA was answering questions! Like a proud aunt.
Just saying

I feel a bit sorry for her too and have a bit of different take on her behavior. I think her inappropriate affect is more likely than not the result of shame, humiliation and nervous embarrassment. Imagine, sitting in court of law, knowing that your child was capable of such horrendous acts and having to face the victims of her crime and the tidal wave of public condemnation every day. Knowing that your child has supplanted a child murderer as the most hated woman in America. Knowing that the details of her horrific crime and disordered personality are being rehashed day in and day out by the media. And yet, this is your child - you have to sit your butt in that chair. Just because Jodi Arias isn't able to feel anything remotely akin to genuine human emotion, doesn't mean that her mother doesn't. I, too, wish that she could present with more stoicism but I cut her some slack. I wouldn't want to be in her shoes for anything in the world.
