I think I may have mentioned something like this last night, but I was so tired, so I'm going to throw it out there again. When asked about her relationship with her parents, Jodi sealed her fate with her explanation of how her relationship with her mother is "complicated" and how her relationship with her father is one where she doesn't care to spend too much time with him. Add these two important relationships to the string of breakups with cheating boyfriends and you continue to have someone who seems to have a problem forming healthy relationships. There has been no mention of any close female friends at all, that I can recall. Everyone else cannot all be to blame, and I have no doubt that Jodi is incapable of forming a healthy bond with anyone, including her own parents. We haven't heard too much about her relationships with her siblings, other than she hit her younger brother over the head with a baseball bat. Hmmmmm......

Yes, and that she thinks her sister is "stupid".

OMG - I just googled "pedophila pamphlet" and the first three sites I tried were all pedophiles making pamphlets to help people "understand" their point of view. I can't even...it is just...I mean who could possibly...just...wow. :puke: No more googling for me today!

Google is NOT your friend, my friend :)

I thought the Chinese takeout was a nice touch myself. Yreka is sounding more and more like Jessica Fletcher's Cabot Cove! Little town. LOTS of crime!

Even the way she says "Yreka" gives me the creeps. Who am I kidding, the way she says everything gives me the creeps.
I was in the other room yesterday evening not watching but with the tv on in the background, and at first I thought I was hearing Casey Anthony. Until I walked in and realized what I was listening to. Trial clips of JA on the stand, of course. It's almost disconcerting how much those two sound alike, and are alike in other ways as well.

On one hand, I find it encouraging that the jury had so many questions that seemed to indicate they weren't buying her tall tales. On the other hand, it would have been extremely gratifying for there not to be ANY questions at all, because jurors have tuned out her BS already and were ready to lock her away for good.

For all its flaws, and they are many and varied, our justice system has certainly given this admitted killer and liar her "day in court". In hindsight, this will be viewed as a bit of a travesty, because you've got an admitted murderer and liar on the stand for going on three weeks now being allowed to sit in the spotlight with international attention focused on her to defame the memory of her victim. At some point, the judge has to take control and say enough is enough of letting her play this game. She's had an ample opportunity to come clean on all the details if, indeed "Travis' family deserves to know the truth..." She's still sticking to the "I can remember every nanosecond of my life EXCEPT the most crucial things you want to know about" defense. Juan Martinez's closing summation will be one for the books.

So as of yesterday, she doesn't remember if the gun was in a holster or not. REALLY?? I do realize she has to say that to try to erase her crazy blurting-out about the holster the day before. But c'mon, you're terrified for your life and going for a gun, and you don't remember if you had to fumble it out of a holster?

I still tend to think Travis may actually have been pursuing her - because she had already stabbed him and he was trying to stop her. She maybe even really had stashed the gun in the closet and had time to get it so tidily because poor Travis was brutally incapacitated.

Also last night I listened again to all the questions and answers. The one that jumped out extra hard was something like, Why did you finally come clean? And her answer was so blatantly All About Jodi. She felt bad about realizing that she had committed violence, which she'd always scorned, blah blah blah. She wasn't the kind of person she had always considered herself to be. And on and on. Not ONE word about remorse over Travis being dead. It was all about how she'd made herself look. I mean, I know we all know she is a narcisstic but it really, truly hit me like a linebacker last night. NO emotions except for herself. NONE.

As I understand, JA did concede wearing socks. The socks were found in the washer with the other bleached streaked items.

and those socks in the washer were HIS socks, weren't they?

I think Ryan said Jodi was blonde at the PPL conference in April, but a WS member discovered yesterday that was held in March.

I found that conference, I think it said March 18-22

He was only off a week or so. I wonder if he is still correct on what he saw

JA's mom and aunt are giving me the creeps. Wondered if Auntie was thrilled that JA pointed her out. Also saw her mom making not so happy face when JA talked about their relationship.

I loved the question about looking up gas stations online before her trip. Super.

I haven't heard about Nurmi wanting to be released as her atty - that's huge! At least he has ONE redeeming quality, lol!

not so redeeming IMO...IIRC he was just starting up his 'let's protect sexual predators, rapists, etc" law firm and said acting as her attorney would affect him greatly financially...so he is now being paid $225.00 per hour for dragging Travis through the muck and mire.

I had the same thought, but then, I have had that thought since Jodi took the stand and look how long we've been there.

Remember way way back when she took the stand. I was so excited:great:, Who'd a thunk we'd be begging for her to shut up and sit back at the defense table.:please:

Just a quick hello to all the Websleuthers. I hope today is an entertaining as yesterday, although I'm at work and Lord knows that my productivity has suffered severely! Keep all the great comments coming.

Hey!
All household and work related curriculum has been shelved for the duration of this trial.

I couldn't decide, WHICH mental condition they were asking about...there's so many you know.

My favorite juror question so far, along with "do you think your boyfriends leave you because you're too controlling?"

Man, she doesn't miss a beat though, does she? She is fast on her lying feet, even though her answers make no sense. She does not appear to fluster. I need more of that quality, just not to the psycho degree.

I also loved, "have you taken medication for your memory condition?"

Can you use a Nook Color to do these? or can you use u stream like a smartphone? are there any Noon users out there?

I have one. I use the Nook if I am connected to WIFI. It works. But my phone seems faster and I keep it plugged up (unlike Jodi) so as not to use up the battery by live streaming.

Watched yesterday & read all the posts in this thread and am thinking...

** Interesting--and GREAT that JA and the DT have spent 95% of their case and time on sex, explicit and otherwise, yet the jurors asked just one question about explicit sex (regarding anal sex) very few on sex at all, and best of all, very few about Travis' alleged pedophilia (and those were clearly highly skeptical).

**Allowing jurors to ask questions gives the jury a preview of what other jurors are thinking. If there are any pro-JA jurors, they discovered yesterday that they(he/she) are the tiny minority, and that at least some of their fellow jurors are already convinced of her guilt AND very disgusted by her.

**I think that being able to ask JA questions will make it easier for jurors to give her the death penalty, because they'll feel that no questions they had went unaddressed.
**If I was a juror I'd be incredibly offended by her demeanor yesterday. They are sacrificing weeks and weeks of their lives to this trial, are doing their job by paying close attention to every last word out of her vile mouth, and have taken the time to write out questions for her to answer.

What they got in return yesterday was a defendant who looked like she was enjoying herself, whose responses were quick and glib and obviously rehearsed, and who used the opportunity to slip in as many new dirty accusations against Travis as she could.

Given how closely the jury has been listening and observing, I trust them to have seen for themselves what she is...a cold blooded killer unworthy of their pity or mercy.

BBM. Exactly! I said the same thing to my husband last night - there were almost no questions about the sex, most of the questions went to the premeditation angle, her memory and her lies. This jury is so on to her.
