JA's mom and aunt are giving me the creeps. Wondered if Auntie was thrilled that JA pointed her out. Also saw her mom making not so happy face when JA talked about their relationship.

Her aunt seems to have a perpetual smirk. I hope that's the way she naturally is and is not a put on expression for court. They did appear to mock Travis' family the other day when the sister walked out. Not cool.

In her own very peculiar way I think she believed she was addressing premeditation here. "See? I didn't MEAN to actually shoot or kill him! I didn't even think the gun was loaded!"

i think her attorney does not want to put a loaded gun in her hand at all. it was a harmless, unloaded gun----so she couldn't have been the aggressor.

OMG - I just googled "pedophila pamphlet" and the first three sites I tried were all pedophiles making pamphlets to help people "understand" their point of view. I can't even...it is just...I mean who could possibly...just...wow. :puke: No more googling for me today!

I wouldn't be googling those types of things, we know computer searches do not go away, no matter how hard you try. Why google when you can pick up those pamphlets at the local mall? :floorlaugh:

Hello everyone! I didn't get to see the questioning yesterday and know that several people had questions about whether a few questions indicated there was a Mormon on the jury. I went back and listened to all the questions and answers last night.

After listening, I can definitely tell you that the Book of Mormon questions were NOT written by a Mormon. In the context they were asked, I could tell that they were written by someone who did not fully understand the content and purpose of the Book of Mormon (meaning the specific sexual guidelines as to forms of sex are not included in there). In fact, there were NO questions out of all of them that suggested that the author of a question or set of questions was Mormon.

Not saying there is definitely not a Mormon juror, but definitely saying the Book of Mormon questions were not written by a Mormon. FWIW.

Just adding my 2 cents!

That may be true, but there IS a Mormon on the jury. I got confirmation last night via twitter/media outlet.

Agree, she has to stick with this story even though it doesn't make sense. Otherwise she is going for a loaded gun and premeditation can be made in an instant.

A few months into our relationship my ex told me he would be the destruction of me. I, being all of 20, dismissed it as being his low self-esteem and even assured him there was nothing that could make me not love him. (By this point I'd heard all about his truly horrific childhood and he had my full sympathy and compassion.)

Recalling that moment now gives me chills because he very nearly did destroy me. He'd warned me and I had totally discounted it. At the end of our relationship I was so brainwashed, so exhausted, so hopeless that I struggled with thoughts of suicide and distinguishing reality from HIS reality. It took a long time to come out of the fog - to realize and accept what had happened - and to begin to pick up the pieces I was left with.

Travis knew just before his death what it took me so long to see myself. :( He knew Jodi was a psychopath. He knew she truly was the worst thing to ever happen to him. And he knew, to her, he really was nothing more than an object.

And even with that knowledge there was so little, if anything, he could have done to prevent his own murder. She was consumed by her obsession of him. She was intent on his destruction once rejected. In a way, I am grateful Travis was able to see through her long enough to provide evidence of his knowledge. In another way though it makes it even more heartbreaking that despite everything he knew...he still couldn't save himself.

Even the way she says "Yreka" gives me the creeps. Who am I kidding, the way she says everything gives me the creeps.
I was in the other room yesterday evening not watching but with the tv on in the background, and at first I thought I was hearing Casey Anthony. Until I walked in and realized what I was listening to. Trial clips of JA on the stand, of course. It's almost disconcerting how much those two sound alike, and are alike in other ways as well.

When the trial started i was embarrassed. I have lived in California my whole 48 years of life and mispronounced that City since I was little.

Then I realized I'm thinking of two different places...hers Yreka (long Y sound lone E sound) And Eureka, CA. How strange! I had never heard of Yreka til now.

On one hand, I find it encouraging that the jury had so many questions that seemed to indicate they weren't buying her tall tales. On the other hand, it would have been extremely gratifying for there not to be ANY questions at all, because jurors have tuned out her BS already and were ready to lock her away for good.

For all its flaws, and they are many and varied, our justice system has certainly given this admitted killer and liar her "day in court". In hindsight, this will be viewed as a bit of a travesty, because you've got an admitted murderer and liar on the stand for going on three weeks now being allowed to sit in the spotlight with international attention focused on her to defame the memory of her victim. At some point, the judge has to take control and say enough is enough of letting her play this game. She's had an ample opportunity to come clean on all the details if, indeed "Travis' family deserves to know the truth..." She's still sticking to the "I can remember every nanosecond of my life EXCEPT the most crucial things you want to know about" defense. Juan Martinez's closing summation will be one for the books.

Re: best if there were no questions at all...
It is one of my flaws, but once I have someone's number I have to let them know I have their number. I just can't stand anyone treating me as if they have fooled me or see me as stupid. I have to hand it back to them directly.
I think that is what we saw with some of the questions yesterday. It's a challenge back to her to let her know they got it. JMO

There is a photo of her foot while she is dragging Travis. It's a black sock covered foot, which she acknowledges is her own.

I don't think the fact that she was wearing socks or just socks but no shoes in and of itself = premeditation at all. I have a no-shoes in the house at all policy but also hate having cold feet, so I am socked all the time, even in the summer! Tile is cold, yo!

Someone here noted evidence showed the black sock came way up her shin, i.e. the black sock belonged to Travis. Poster also guessed that's where she stored the gun/knife.

Hey!
All household and work related curriculum has been shelved for the duration of this trial.

Mine too. Watch for me on an upcoming episode of "Hoarders- The Jodi Arias Edition."

Funny how some are sweating the amount of questions by the jury. I take it as a sign of them paying attention, forcing her to answer. She gave so many non-committal, word salad answers that didn't tell them anything of value.

If they had asked a bucket of questions about DV or the pedophilia nonsense, I'd be worried. They didn't. They're on to her.

I just got caught up on the Q&A session from yesterday. The jury is picking her to the bone! I love that all the questions have the "I don't believe a word you have said" vibe to them, or at least imo. They are aimed at dismantling her and her BS. None of the questions seem to be of a sympathetic tone, they all sound very skeptical of her.
A good day in court!

It may be a minor point and I can't go back and find the post, but I am praying that JM follows up with a question about when that conference was. JA said that Ryan had to be wrong about her hair color, based on the month, March versus April. I know a poster here quoted her testimony and then a factual site post about it being exactly the way Ryan said it, and JA was adamant about it during the jury questions. Just one of her lies that has taken up residency in the back of mind and in my craw.....

Ryan was mistaken....it was held in march not april as he testified to

I found that conference, I think it said March 18-22

He was only off a week or so. I wonder if he is still correct on what he saw

Jodi has already testified that Ryan was full of crap when his testimony didn't line up with hers. I wonder who the jury will believe?

Not to mention some payback for boring them to death.

I had no idea how to pronounce it either until I heard it being said. I thought pf it as yerka  for some reason. It sounds strange saying it with a scottish accent.

Have no fear! JA discredited them anyway in her response to the juror question asking if she had sought help for her mental condition- and she said no she didn't have a mental condition. :great: Whatever Jodi!

I would like for one of the questions today to ask if she has considered seeking help from an exorcist.
